my car is finally fixed and looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!
i went and picked up my car just an hour ago and it looks like it just rolled outta the factory. looks brand spankin new. i hope i never have to visit the repair shop again for a long long time. i've heard it's bad luck not to name your car so i blame the accident on the fact that my car WAS nameless. but it will from now on be known as CAB-KILLER (those of you who know of my recent accident will understand the name).
thanks for everyone who threw a little pity and understanding my way in my time of need. but my baby's back and i'm out on the road again in a BENZ!!!!!
oh yeah, and for anyone who was wondering where i've been the past 3 or 4 weeks (like anyone cares,
), i've been moved around at work. i'm now back in a lab and don't have access to a computer very often if at all. i'll still pop in from time to time, but i won't be the poster i used to be at least for now.
here are some before and after shots of my car for your viewing pleasure.

ya know, this whole thing had me really rattled until i realized something when i saw my fixed car today. i'm so fortunate that not only can i afford to drive a mercedes, but i can afford to fix one when i wreck it to, that's not something everyone can say. i guess that's the bright side of all of this.

when i called my dealership to get a recommended body shop, this is where they sent me. when i asked if they had any other recommendations, they said "no, i wouldn't let anyone else touch a mercedes in this state".

nope, not a dealer. they're a body shop in peoria IL called Benishek and Duffy. They're very very good.
