Anyone ever
physically gone to DDM Tuning in Huntington Beach to buy HID's from them directly ?
I sort of don't want to wait and wondered if you can go down and buy from them... or is it an online thing only?
Thanks

you can go there, they are right across the street from Hyevon Motors. But you should call first to make sure they have them in stock

I dont plan on going there in person but do plan on ordering the 55watt hid kit from ddmtuning.com soon.. Is the product crap or are you just saying the customer service is crap.

A lot of people have been happy with this kit BUT if you check their Facebook page they have a lot of complaints about service and how they are lagging to get their orders shipped out.

ddm sells it for dirt cheap. but at a cheap price comes horrible service. ive bought multiple hids kits from them, and i kinda stopped. yeah its a great price, but customer service is horrible and warranty. well its a warranty if they have the stuff in stock which they normally dont.

Don't forget there's the whole scandal of DDM not correctly informing the customer of exactly what they're getting. There was a thread a little while back exposing that they really only have 3 different temperature bulbs, and the different levels that they sell are really just one of these 3. For example, if you order a 5000k and 6000k bulb, you're getting the exact same thing.
I'd seriously rather tape a flashlight to the front of my car than buy another kit from these guys.

WOW Eric!!!!!!!! This is exactly what happened to Milkman. He ordered the 8000k and he said his looked light blue. I said 8000k should be purplish but he said it didnt. What you said and what happened to milkman makes perfect sense.
What is a good HID kit that you recommend Eric?

I usually try to stay away from rebased bulbs these days, quality is hard to come by. With an H7 application, the best thing to do is get an adaptor ring and run a quality D2S bulb. So, D2S bulb, adaptor ring, D2S socket to amp connector to ballast. The rest is the same.
You can't do this with a 9006 connector, luckily these are usually fog lights so beam pattern is much less of a concern.

I run DDM slim and they have been fine for me. Honestly you can't really beat the 30 bucks. Atleast thats how much they were before.
Knock on wood I never had a problem with them.

DDM used to be somewhat decent before 2010. Good service, they would never backorder on HID Kits, etc. After that, it's what you see as it is now. a pile of poop.
