the golf-T came off a little bit too easily - back in my c240 - it came off randomly when I had my window opened - dropped it outside while driving... and had to get a replacement...
The new ones dont look ugly, they just look like locks... no style whatsoever... pure plastic for practicality (in another words, it probably costs less than the golf-Ts)
I tried yanking the new ones off too, no luck, dont wanna bother with it, besides a set of those chrome brabus lock-tips costs around 30 bucks

Hmm...well it looks like for you '07s you might have to take off the panel to see if theres a way to take them off. I'm surprised they just dont screw off. And yes, I can see where the golf tees could be flimsy or what not they came off almost too easily.

Well I talked to my SA and a MB mechanic yesterday afternoon and they were actually stumped. All three of us gave it a try on an '07 loaner and the SA kept muttering in disbelief "it SHOULD come off, it SHOULD" After waiting for half an hour for the mechanic to do some research, he came to the conclusion that these door pins are just like the new ML's and they don't come off. The only way to confirm this is to take off my door panel and they will try to remove it with a knife. So at the moment my fellow 2007 owners, don't try to remove the door pins, otherwise you may also dislocate the connecting rod

They DO in fact unscrew on the 07's. I just finally got mine off this morning. They just take a good amount of force to break them loose, but they do come off. I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.
I used a pair of pliers with a rag wrapped around the pin. I used the rag in case I want to put the stock ones back on. There appears to be no glue on the pins, just the shape of the pins, the bottom portion has a very tight fit to the rod. That is why they are so tight.
Also, here is the Ebay member I got the pins from: http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dctw124/

Hey guys...I have had my "Brabus" door pins for about...4 months now...running along with this problem. But recently, I have gotten really tired of it...
Problem:
Every door pin except the driver's door pin stays in place (the B faces the direction I originally had it...and it doesn't loosen or anything). The other door pins (passenger, both sides on rear) always come loose (I notice because the B faces a wrong direction and when I lock the doors they stick up a lot more than I originally had them). Does anybody know what is up with this? And if I try to tighten them all the way down...it will sink too far down below the door pin surrounds...and that in my opinion looks horrid...do you guys know what is up? Am I suppsoed to take some small scraps of paper and stick them all the way into the door pin in order to get a successful stationary door pin?
Solutions:
Anyone? Thanks.
p.s.
My driver's door's door pin can screw all the way down and never budges. Seems that only this side is the "working" one. I also made sure that all the door pins were of the same lengths.
