Service in Los Angeles

This has been discussed before. But I wasn't satisfied with the search results i got on it.

I am looking for a good service advisor near West Los Angeles. I am indifferent to the one I have now (as he is with servicing me). So anyone have any recommendations?

I also need a service advisor who would help with Xeon setting for my bi-xenons.

Hi,

Where and who is your servise advisor now? My car is due for the first A service, and I've made an appointment with Scott at Keyes next Thursday. I called him once and left a message 2 days ago, but havent got back any reply. I'll let you know if he's any good.

Keyes Van Nuys is ok. Talk to Greg. You can make him feel guilty if they forget something:p I had an ok experience at the Auto Steigler in Encino. Try them if you want to activated "unknown" features in your car. It all comes down to in how you treat your SA. If you treat him like a jerk than of course he will do the job, but maybe half assed. If you erm, bribe them and treat them cool then they will magically find out you can do things on your car that no one else has previously done.

Auto Stiegler is nice. I dont like Keyes, the people in there, most of them are arrogant since they work in a big company.

Thanks for the info. I made an appointment with Beverly Hills. Did any of you activate Xenon over there?

My first experience at auto stiegler ensured that I won't be returning.

dropped our ML in for the so called powersteering recall. It's really just replacement of a hose clamp (I later found out).

Dropped it off sat morning. Was told we'll be called when ready. No call. Didn't know what was involved with the recall so no big deal we can wait till monday.

9am monday morning my wife picked up the car. It was filthy as it had misted over the weekend. guess there was no room in their 4 story parking structure.Drove it home. That evening I had to goto the store. The powersteering pump was whinning like crazy. Drove half a block it was getting worse. Pulled into our driveway, got out and saw a large puddle of P/S fluid on the ground. Great! The reservior was empty and I can see a trail of fluid running down by the radiator. I can see a shinny new hose clamp but all the hoses were still original. Left a message with our advisor.

10:30am tues no call from stiegler. I called and was told to call MB 24hour roadside. OK. I scheduled a tow truck to deliver back to stiegler. No call from them tuesday.

wednesday morning I call for the status of the car. Was told it was ready. I asked when did it become ready and was told "just this morning".

At least it was washed when I picked it up.
