Cat deletes won't cause you to lose power.

I didnt lose power. From a tune and cat delete you should get way more than 5whp. The 5whp is suspected to be ONLY from the cat delete.

190hp is approximately the same as 268 hp? is a 0-60 time of 5.6 approximately the same as the 7.5 that the m111 does? and since when does the 2.0l run 14.1 sec quarter miles at 100mph?

ya well subaru has had a 300hp 2.0L turbo for over a decade...its just what MB decided to...like build sh*tty manuals or not put a manual in their actual high performance car etc...its just what they do cuz they're germans...idk...wtf are we talking about again?

Ok there is a big difference in this comparison. Your comparing an N/A 3.5 V6 to a F/I 2.0 turbo..

I didnt make the decision to have this motor make 268 bhp? If I could have 320rwhp like the turbo c350 than I WOULD

I sure do have a (thing) for subies. I love that boxer motor. My 06 wrx was extremely fun to drive. I think bmw AND MBZ have nice manuals. I dont think they make poor products.. The germans have their reasons..

You can feel free to drive the Kia; I'll keep my m272 powered Mercedes, thank you.

"The E35 is a 3.5 L (3498 cc) version. Bore dimension is 92.6 mm and stroke is 86 mm. Output is 272 PS (268 hp/200 kW) at 6000 rpm with 258 ft·lbf (350 N·m) of torque at 3500 rpm. A direct injected variant debuted in 2006 under the name Stratified-Charged Gasoline Injection (CGI). First fitted to the CLS350 CGI, it produces 292 PS (288 hp/215 kW) and 269 ft·lbf (365 N·m) of torque while lowering fuel consumption. In 2008, the non-CGI engine was uprated to 316 PS (232 kW) at 6500 rpm and 265 ft·lbf (360 N·m) of torque at 4900 rpm. This was achieved by raising the rev-limit to 7200 rpm, increasing the compression ratio and other modifications to the valvetrain."
To save you from fumbling for the calculation, 316 PS = 312 HP
This particular extension of the 272 family is found in the 09-11 SLK350, dubbed the 272.969, among a couple other models.
It's a quite capable engine; so, 268 HP is not it's factory limit mind you.

So, remind us of what the point was of criticizing the E35?
Would you like us to take turns pointing out the low points of the m111?

I hate it when ppl desperately try to defend something which is an obvious truth: THIS particular 3.5l engine on THIS car produces a small amout of power!

Nice pic peydidy haha

And very nice knowledge red stripe!

Bottom line is...a Kia is still a Kia and a Benz is a Benz, what would you rather drive?

Try asking a girl if she thinks it's sexier if a guy drives a Benz or a Kia and see what she says.

Power is nice but so is a car that can drive 100+ SMOOTHLY and not shaky.

Exactly right. MBZ also looks at reliability and other things.. Not just HP..

Please go somewhere else. Make your own thread to go rant about the m272 motor..
