Evooolution of my 2006 C350 6spd!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

"The E35 is a 3.5 L (3498 cc) version. Bore dimension is 92.6 mm and stroke is 86 mm. Output is 272 PS (268 hp/200 kW) at 6000 rpm with 258 ft·lbf (350 N·m) of torque at 3500 rpm. A direct injected variant debuted in 2006 under the name Stratified-Charged Gasoline Injection (CGI). First fitted to the CLS350 CGI, it produces 292 PS (288 hp/215 kW) and 269 ft·lbf (365 N·m) of torque while lowering fuel consumption. In 2008, the non-CGI engine was uprated to 316 PS (232 kW) at 6500 rpm and 265 ft·lbf (360 N·m) of torque at 4900 rpm. This was achieved by raising the rev-limit to 7200 rpm, increasing the compression ratio and other modifications to the valvetrain."
To save you from fumbling for the calculation, 316 PS = 312 HP
This particular extension of the 272 family is found in the 09-11 SLK350, dubbed the 272.969, among a couple other models.
It's a quite capable engine; so, 268 HP is not it's factory limit mind you.

So, remind us of what the point was of criticizing the E35?
Would you like us to take turns pointing out the low points of the m111?
And very nice knowledge red stripe!
Bottom line is...a Kia is still a Kia and a Benz is a Benz, what would you rather drive?
Try asking a girl if she thinks it's sexier if a guy drives a Benz or a Kia and see what she says.

Power is nice but so is a car that can drive 100+ SMOOTHLY and not shaky.

Please go somewhere else. Make your own thread to go rant about the m272 motor..
