Tomorrows the big day!

So after waiting a while for new wheels taomrows going to be the day I finally get my BBS LM's. I have been waiting 3 months to get these but I was waiting for my tires to go low on tread first. While washing my car today I noticed my front wheels were starting the have the white line things and decided its defiantly time to change them. So I am finally going to pick up my wheels, and will also need new tires. I am on a serious budget (still a high school student and my job doesn't pay to great) So for the money whats a good tire to go with? The place that I am getting my wheels at said they will give me continentals at about 140 a wheel. I have always had Michelins and they were great but I think they are a little to expensive for me rite now (got quoted 1,400 at costco for a set of Michelins ). I want to have that thin stretched look also. Any recomendations?

Also for the wheels 18x8.5 on front and 18x9.5 on back or should i go 18x10 on back? will there be a great difference if so?

I say to the limit and get 18x9 and 18x10 (if not .5" more all around :x) 8.5 and 9.5 is pretty usual around here. A bunch of people use 10" wide wheels in the rear w/o any issues...

go hard or go home lol.... I'm about to place my order for my CCWs next week (FINALLY) going 18x9 +26 and 18x10 +20. As for tires if you're on a budget and want good long lasting tires I say get the Conti DWS, awesome tires, have them on my rears right now. Getting them for my next set as well. Only Conti I would get for our cars.

The bigger the rims, the more expensive the tire young grasshopper ...

That's a given with anything ... the bigger the house, the more expensive the bills, etc. (My life lesson is over )

I have 18x 8 all around. I wouldn't go larger. Also think about performance and the weight of the rim.

Hm thats a good point on the tires and on our cars tires don't last too long. And your right about the weight factor too. Thanks for the advice.

I dunno. You're gonna drop a bunch of $$ on lightweight two / three piece wheels. I highly doubt they will contribute negatively to the performance of your car. Now if you were going to buy 20" casted boat anchors.... thats a completely different story. As for tires, my tires seem to have done me well, but that is largely because I keep my alignment in check. I drive plenty too and am certain that if you get your alignment properly set, you'll have good tire life also.

Whatever ya decide post pix

A lightweight 19" is an oxymoron.

I wanted 18s but apparently they don't make replica 18s anymore (I don't believe that I am pretty sure the shop just wanted to sell me 19s and was out of stock on 18s). Ended up ordering 19s yesterday and the shop said they would be here today but its 3:30 and they still haven't came. I think they will most likely come tomorrow.

also, you can't use your stock bolts btw.

check out radusa if your local shop don't have the proper bolts.

Again the shop was wrong it looks like. First they said it would be perfect fitment and not need spacers; now I end up needing spacers. Then they said I wouldn't need new bolts because stocks would work and I was pretty sure that stocks wouldn't work too. Looks like I need to get some bolts now. Frank do you now how much hub centric spacers and bolts will run me? Also will local shops like auto zone or tire stores have them?

stores like autozone will not carry the spacers you want. you would have to go to a tuner shop or just buy them online. i would recommend H&R or Ichiba spacers. H&R cost more, but price depends on what size you need.

Well today SUCKS. These wheels have been the biggest head ache. I was promised I would get these on Tuesday, they would be direct fitment, and the stock bolts working with them...All that ended up being lies. After calling the shop multiple times and complaining about how the shipping is taking so long (I payed for over night shipping that went out monday and I received it today thursday...HM). I also ordered spacers and everything but that was also a waist of money it looks like. I went to Americas tire CO to buy tires and have it mounted and all that today. We hit a problem instantly. The offset was REALLY off that the spacers wound be enough and if i would have gotten the right spacers the tires still would have came out to much; it would have just looked ridiculous. So i figured I should be able to return these the to store I bought them from easily because they were the ones that told me it would be direct fitment and it ended up not going. I was wrong. I called and the guy that picked up said he was new and he would have someone call me back in 5 mins. One hour passed and no one called me. I tried calling again and no one picked up. I called 7 more times in the next 20 mins; No one picked up. Then I tried calling restricted, sure enough the same guy picked up right away. This time he said he was owner. I explained what happened, he said he would call me back after he talked to the sales person who I talked to. Its been an hour again and no one has called me. On top of all that I cant drive my car because the fronts are starting to thread really badly. Heres a couple of pics of the wheels that could have been..

Ya I know :/ I was really looking forward to them too. Missed class so I could be home to sign for the package and all too.
Offset on the fronts are 35 and 40 on the back.
