Swapping Interior from a 02 to 05
Is it possible to swap the interior including the center console and the entire dashboard from a 2005 C230 Coupe into a 2002 C230 coupe?
Just an idea I have since the car I would be buying comes with Bi-Xenons as well that are well free basically.

I don't have any exact info on this, but I'm pretty sure that with enough time, money, patience and knowledge it could be done. Somehow I don't think it will be easy, though.

So the car dashboard just doesn't fit exactly on the 02? I wouldn't want to spend the extra time since I'm already going to be spending a lot of my spare time on this. My thought was that the design was kept the same just that the features were revamped.
Also, would the center console have a difference connection than the 02 one?

It can be done with a lot of patience. One of the biggest problems is going to be change the whole networking ring from db2 to MOST. This could get expensive unless you have a complete donor car.

I want to buy one that is crashed from behind and pull everything from inside. The air bags didn't go off etc. So fitment isn't an issue and it just comes down to taking off the old parts and changing the whole networking?

Well here is the whole deal. I needed a new hood which I was quoted quite a bit. I wanted replacement seats because the current ones are worn out. I also like the 05 center console.

What I like about this car is it has a new hood that has already been primered. It has the updated tail lights, the extra wheel set with the bigger rims, the different grill, and the new dashboard/center console/steering wheel combo.
I've been looking around for quite a while. I let a bi-xenon coupe go but because I wanted the new center console. Which one would be the better pick?

There's a guy who did a full conversion from 2002 C230 to CLC including body,
interior, dash, db2 to MOST bus, everything!
And it worked! I can't remember his user name, hiroshi or something like that.
He got into some conflicts with people here, who apparently didn't believe him, gave him crap, and he went to other forums. Fact is, he's the only one who managed to pull it off.

Aside from the broken rear window, what exactly is wrong with that car?
