Fog Light wiring help

Fog Light wiring help
I have a 2006 c230 sport and have a problem with the fog lights. I have looked everywhere but can't find the wiring to hook up to the drivers side fog light, the passenger light works just fine. I bought the car used a month ago and thought the bulb was all that needed replacing.
Any help with where to look for where the wiring harness should hook in would be greatly appreciated

Hmmm, wish I remembered, but it's been years since I switched out my foglight bulbs. What I would do is remove the belly pans and trace the wiring from the passenger's side as far back as possible, and try to recreate that same path on the other side.
You might be very unlucky and have had a shady owner who removed the harness completely to try to "fix" the warning light. I'm assuming you get the bulb out warning?

Thank you for the advice, I have already removed the pan while I had it on a hoist and attempted to locate it by looking in the same place as the passenger side. No luck though.
I will take a look around the fluid tank and see if I have any better luck there.
So far, I have looked just about everywhere and have no loose ends hanging around and am stumped.
I appreciate the help

In that case, what I would do is have your local parts department pull up the scematic that includes the wiring of the driver's side fog light, and then have them print it out. Or talk to you SA at the dealership, if you've got a good renationship with them.
I'll be swapping out my winter rims for my summers this weekend, and pull down my belly pans, and see if I can take some pics, or at least describe the layout of where the wiring goes.

OK, finally swapped out my tires yesterday, and from what I see, the wiring for the fogs (on each side) joins up with the other electrical wiring about 12" from the front corner in the engine bay. If you see no wiring at all for the driver's side fog, they must have clipped it just south of that juncture - you'd have to cut the shrink wrap and see if it continues, or if they have completely removed the wiring.

As I said to Dustin, the best thing you could do would be to get the scematic from the parts dept of your local dealership - that could help you with the wiring. I think it would be pretty hard to do on your own without the wiring diagrams, though.
If you look at the bigass wiring bundle running up the outside of the engine bay on each side, the foglight wiring is included in that group (normally).

Thank you for all of the suggestions. At this point, I have followed all of the wires along the drivers side front panel near the washer tank with no luck. I will have to head to the dealer, hat in hand, and ask for a schematic because I can't find anything that has been clipped or a stray end dangling.
I am at a total loss for how or why it would have disappeared but that is the risk you take when buying a used car right?

I have the same issue. I took my car to a certified Mercedes dealership to get it check out in 2017 and then I get it back and the left fog light cable is completely gone. Now, I always get left fog light out. Not sure what to do as they have no idea what happened. All I know is I had it there before and after getting my car it is gone. Tired of driving for over year with that message appearing all the time. Is there at least a way to disable the left fog light message?
