Intake Manifold Replaced-Now crank but wont start
My car was recently diagnosed with “P2006: Intake Manifold Runner Stuck Closed.” The dealer wanted money that I simply did not have to replace the manifold. So, I ordered the part and replaced it myself.
The car ran great for several days. No check engine lights, no pending codes. Then I got the error codes “P0106: Manifold Absolute pressure sensor”, and “P2638: Transmission Computer not receiving protection signal???”
I checked the MAP sensor and there was a small vacuum hose that wasn’t snug. I reconnected that, cleared the error codes and all was fine.
It was after this that I developed the “Crank but no start” condition.
Here’s a list of the things I’ve tried.
Checked for fuel pressure: Pressure test is good. (A strong 50psi at the rail)
Spark test: I have spark. (I thought it would be more spark than it was, but I have spark.)
Removed oil cap, made sure timing chain was moving while cranking.
Replaced Crankshaft Position Sensor.
Checked for codes: no codes.
Checked fuses: 31, 52 and 57 (needed for start?): All were ok.
Checked battery voltage: 12.5 no load.(haven’t checked yet while cranking.)
Rechecked all vacuum lines that I could find.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for spotting the typo.
I have the C230 Sport, not the coup. (changes have been made.)
Nice to see someone is paying attention.
Thanks.

Make sure that the airbox is seated tightly over the MAF.
Make sure that the fuel system maintains pressure WHILE CRANKING!
Go back & check everything that you have done.
The last time I know of that a M272 did this and everything was right it was finally diagnosed as a blown fusible link. Trouble is that I don't know where the link was. I think it was under the front SAM where one of the relays plugs in but I'm not sure.
Not sure where that is either, but I'll do some research and let you know what I find.
Thanks again,

How did you figure it out?
Yes it's coming up the weekend of April 13th-15th.
You know they'll be in your area on August 26th at Infineon/Sonoma.
I've attended both the Indy Car and Nascar events at that track.
Lots Of Fun!!!

Thr Lord has shown my the error of my ways!
The problem I was having has been resolved. It was due to a couple of vacuum lines I had crossed up. Please see the pdf file attached and you'll
see which lines they were.
Thanks again for the help.
