c230 kompressor stopped running just make clicking noise???
Hello, I have a c230 kompressor that started up rough a day ago and the third time it would not start. It makes a fast qlicking noise when i try to turn it over however nothing will start now? Is that my timeing chain? if so is this car a zero tollerance engine and could it be blown now? just got an oil change a week ago.... They did add too much oil, so I took some out and the front smark plug I had to clean off becuase it had oil on it. nothing still will run?

Check the battery voltage (12V+ ?). Clean the contacts, bang on the starter with a piece of pipe or metal. Then try.

That's what mine did. Had rough cold starts for a few days. Then I went to go to work one day, and it made a loud clanking sound on start up. I stopped turning it over, and tried it again, when it only clicked.
I think there is some kind of safety system built in, that does that where there is too much resistance to start it.
I had the battery, and starter checked, and they were fine. That led me on my timing chain adventure.
How many miles on your car?
Has your car been making a rattling sound on start up, for a few seconds?
May still want to have the batt and starter checked. But I don't know what's worse, pulling the starter, or pulling the valve cover to check the timing chain............ Probably pulling and replacing the starter.... What a pain that was.
What do you mean it cranks "a bit"? Could be battery.
