HELP! C230K Sedan Big Brakes w/ Rims

I have a 230K Sedan with the factory big brake kit. I just bought some 18in rims 5x112 35mm offset and they look amazing. When I bought them it was raining out and I quickly took the rear tire off, put the new tire on, it fit great and I bought them. It wasnt until I got home and took my front tire off that I saw the problem. The front hub has this 2-3in *** that comes out from the center of the hub and my rim can not fit all the way down to the rotor. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Did I buy the wrong rims? Is there a quick fix for this issue? I dont think just a wheel spacer is going to cut it...

a wheel spacer will fix the issue. this is unless you purchased wheels with the wrong hub bore. +35 on the w203 with the sports package is not going to fit in the front you need at least +28 offset so the spokes/whee doesnt hit the brake rotor. make sure the its not the wheel hitting the rotor. The lip on the hub is what the wheel needs to fit, our hub size is 66.6. This is required so the stress of the wheels during turning and driving is dispersed throughout the wheel up and not just on the lug bolts. it should say the hub size on the wheels, usually on the inside with all the other info of the wheels.

If it is the correct hub bore, then you'll need to buy at least a 8mm spacer or a 10mm, i would lean on the 10mm spacer just make sure it does clear. But remember if you do get spacers you'll need new lug bolts as well, so if you get 10mm spacers you'll need 50mm lug bolts because our stock shaft length is 39.9mm so you have to add 10mm to it.

Thank you for the help. the problem that I am having is that even though the rear fit fine, I can not get the fronts to sit flush over the end cap of the hub. its rounded and has this tiny lip that prevents me from sliding the wheel onto the hub. the OEM rims have a slot bored into them that allows for the hub to easially slide into the rim, where as my aftermarket does not. do I need to buy an aftermarket wheel with a similar slot in the back? also if I bought a spacer that comes all the way out to the end cap what size would that be/ would that be too far out? the inner part of my rim that sits on the hub is only 1/4in deep or so. just enough to sit on the rear hubs.

the problem might be that the hub bore on the new wheels might not be bored further enough out since you have the caps. if you look inside the new wheel hub, does it stay the same size al the way through or does it change towards the front of the wheel because it needs to be like that so the cap can attach. the rear has only a small lip, thats why when you buy spacers past 5mm for the rears they require a lip so the wheels can sit on them. the fronts are longer because of the wheel bearings. you really dont want to get a spacer that far out unless you plan on doing alot of fender work to get the wheels to fit. You can put the wheels on and see how much space you need to get to the hub and then buy a spacer for it.

if you really dont care about the center caps then you can take the wheels to a machine shop and have it bored all the way through to 66.6

Ok thanks a lot for the help. Ill probably put them on craigslist which is a shame because I love the rims. But I would like to have the centercaps and I dont want to do anything to damage the car or ruin the rims in a boring attempt. Im sure they will sell quickly.

you can probably get spacers to fit, go to a wheel shop and see if you can find a spacer to allow the wheels to fit.

Well I bought them on Craigslist from a guy in NH and I live in Boston. It's a 2hr drive each way and will be such a ***** to bring them back. I only paid $800 for them but I believe that I can get at least $1000 in Boston so Im gonna try my luck selling them in the City.
