Hello,
I have a 2003 C240. The steering wheel controls and the horn have stopped working. I've checked all the fuses and still don't know why it doesn't work. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Its mostly likely one of the harnesses in the steering column or a crimped wire in it.
Thanks for your input phister. I've researched a little more and have been reading about it possibly being the clock spring.

Same problem; I fixed it on mine last weekend after reading this thread. The connector came off and had to solder it back on to the PCB:

Not sure this is a related issue with the steering controls; unless they removed the steering wheel to carry out the repairs. Otherwise, it may have to do with the removal of the center console *not sure about the horn* but I have had the SRS warning light go off when installing a Head unit.

Exploreif you look on in the world .org you will find instructions on how to repair the switches. fact is the solder joints go bad and you need to simply heat up the solder joint and put the switch back in and it will be fixed. I had the same problem and I was able to fix it in this manner. definitely not the clock spring. basically you remove the air bag / horn button and then remove the switches from the airbag module. it's not hard I did the whole job in about a half an hour to an hour since I didn't know what I was doing
I was trying to say earlier benzworld .org<br />
