P0301 Code - Cylinder #1 Misfire for Merz C240 2002 model
P0301 Code - Cylinder #1 Misfire for Merz C240 2002-03 model
I have this code after I replaced the plugs
before that code, all things are in order and runs good and after I did changed plugs, it read this code and the fuel consumption get high.
Another thing, I bought 12 plugs to the dealer and they gave me "champion spark plugs" the plugs I'm removed were "Bosch" spark plugs. Does this may caused the issue?
Please help I just barely register here and not good in doing the maintenance for myself. I just give a try to do it, because dealer was so expensive!

As long as the plugs were correctly gapped this did not cause the problem. If the plug gaps were too wide on cylinder one & you have a lazy coil pack this could cause what you see.
The most likely cause in a vehicle of your age is the plug wires & you might have damaged them removing them. Otherwise it could be a coil pack. Change wires first.
Good luck!

Most plugs today come pre gapped. It's still a good idea to check them. I suspect plug wires.

You can drive it around town. Being a 12 plug engine you are not going to suffer a misfire on every engine rotation. You have reached a number of misfires per thousand threshold which is why you have a CEL.
I would not go on a long trip until fixed.

okay thanks then
I will wait the wire to arrive and replace the old one
I paid one local mechanic around to replace the valve gasket cover and the oil now is leaking and has a lot of smoke. This is now my brand new issue in this car
I am disappointed to the job done by this mechanic
huhuhuhu

Only use genuine gaskets on the cam box covers. Aftermarket gaskets are known to give trouble.

How to replace the engine and transmission mounts on my Merz C240 2002 model?
I brought to the dealer and they diagnosed that the mounts were collapsed
and the rear right axle seal was leaking! Any help please?
