I also just noticed the sensor photo in the original post is of a 56029400AE, not AC as stated. So this may be a mute question.
4. jrsmith_68, have you (or anyone else on this forum) had any issues since your install? Anything else that I should be aware of before I attempt this mod? By the way... I noticed that the part number in the picture was different too. did anyone pm you to answer your question or did you ever complete the retrofit? if so which part number did you use? I have an 2005 c55 as well.

I know it's been a while, but I finally completed this modification. I originally installed the Control Module and Wiring Harness about 6 months ago, and waited until I needed to replace the tires before I installed the Sensors. I replaced all tires and installed the Sensors about 2 weeks ago. BTW, the sensor part numbers I used were, 56029400AE.
Last week I dropped my C55 off at my independent shop for routine maintenance and also asked them to complete the Active TPMS set-up by following the TPMS DAS instructions that were posted earlier on this thread. They informed me the TPMS control module read all the sensors. But when they went to change my EIS to "Tire Pressure Monitor "with" Position-Related Pressure Values". That option was not there. My EIS only showed "Tire Pressure Monitor "without" Position-Related Pressure Values". So, what has been added and is now listed on my Instrument Cluster display is: "Tire Pressure Monitor Active, Reactivate with +". I'll attempt to post/add a photo of the Instrument Cluster display later...
If anyone can figure out how to update or maybe re-flash the EIS to enable the Active TPMS, "with" Position-Related Values, please post it. If that can't be done, then maybe the EIS needs to be replaced. IMHO, I don't feel, this modification would be worth the time, effort or cost of a EIS replacement.
So, there you have it. Maybe someone else on this forum has additional information, which can/will help, or come up with another way to get this to function properly. Again, any assistance would be greatly appreciated...

What's the part number of your EIS? Any chance your tech noted that when he was coding it? It would be a good reference for those that are attempting the same mod. I would expect it is an older version.

We have 2006 ML (as well as 203.747) and "Tire Pressure Monitor Active, Reactivate with +" is all that shows up, and from the factory.
If a tire get low, it just tells you to check the tire pressures.
Then you reset it, with the +.
Really basic. Sounds like you've got all you're going to get.
Not detailed, but hey, it came on once, and I got out of the car and discovered a nail in a tire, so
that was good, because we were in Cambria, CA and heading back to Monterey through Big Sur, and
that woulda been really bad if it happened out on that section of road, and not knowing.
Got the tire fixed in Cambria, reset with the +. All good.
203 doesn't have that, and likely not possible to retrofit.
Surprised to hear someone got a post facelift instrument panel to work.
Did anyone in this thread other than the OP get TPMS to work?
I'd be very careful flashing EIS, VERY careful.
If you hose it, it can only be purchased and installed by the dealer, and you will spend $1000 + new keys.

BF_JC230, thanks for showing your research of EIS part numbers and good luck on your update. Could you possibly ask the service technician to record the EIS object number while in DAS? It should be something like (203.747) From what I've been reading, those numbers in certain combinations and updates, should help us determine which will and will not work. Thanks in advance...

The Beru system was replaced by the Siemens system in 2006 to 2009 (I think)
The Siemens system has a antenna at the front left and right wheel wells and a central antenna in the rear. When rotating the tires from what I have read, the sensors were discovered in their new positions without the aid of DAS or a programmer, hopefully someone can reply if this is true or not with the Siemens system.
I am asking because I would like to add active (475) TPMS to an 06 E-class, I haven't been able to figure out what wiring harness to use since there are several listed in the EPC and the EPC does not state which are for the Beru and which for the Siemens and wondering if its even possible to use the Schrader system.

Good question. From my experience so far, I have two sets of tires, winter and summer, I can switch them out without having to get into DAS to program locations. The system automatically determines position. I did initially program each wheel sensor, so I cannot confirm if the system would automatically detect a new sensor. I have to admit the Schrader system is nice. Easy to install (4 wires) and sensors were cheap since I could buy the "Chrysler" versions.

Last Fall (2017) I had TPMS installed into my winter tire/rim set up at the local Dealership, MBoB.
This Spring (2018) I switched over in my garage to the summer tires with TPMS.
I received a RED BOLD WARNING TO CHECK TIRE PRESSURE!...so, knowing that the tires I just mounted where set to the desired PSI, I went thru the menu to reset...after (+) and reactivating...no warning and all set!

Enable 475 how? What year? I may have your answer but I need your VIN, you can PM me if you wish. I'm doing a 470 to 475 on a W211.
It's a 2007 W164, and I have the SDS so can enable it that way.
You are posting in the W203 C-class, but isn't a W164 an M-class?
Without the VIN its too difficult to research, but on a 2007 W211, its uses the Siemens system, no idea on your vehicle, but likely Siemens, and you would know this if you bought wheel sensors, because Beru and Siemens and Schrader wheel sensors are not interchangeable. So if you can't find your receipt or you never bought wheel sensors have a tire checked at a shop for which system you have. If your W164 uses Siemens you can NOT simply turn 475 on via SDS because 2 antennas, brackets and 3 harnesses are missing with 470.
Not adding much here but today I made the configuration on my CL203 (C200 SportCoupe 2005) and it went fine, not the same option shown on the PDF (Individual tire pressures) but fair enough for me, it reads the values using DAS y reports if a tire loses pressure. I had also enabled the warning on the ESP module and the gas tank mod
So far everything good.
Background info:
The connection to the rear SAM was easy.
The cable was super long but instead of cutting it I decided to just use a zip tie, I don't like cutting or messing with stock cables.
The connection to the canbus hub on the front is easy but it takes some elbow grease to take the cable to the front of the car, I removed the rear seat, and the side cushion, used some utp cable (tv cable works too probably) as guide, and it goes through the drivers side of the vehicle, you will notice all the rear sam cables going to the front.
The canbus hub is sliced sidewards to be removed and then to insert the new plug you have to remove some guard it has, be careful I broke mine and I had to fix the plastic with my soldering iron before getting it back there.
The configuration as per the PDF is pretty well explained and worked fine for me, the only difference is that instead of having the individual tire pressure it has the pressure loss that adverts if any tire loses enough pressure to trigger the warning, far enough for me I don't need the individual thing as far as I know something is wrong.

So I have managed to turon temporarily to show tire spn it ecific values, but after a couple of restarts it goes back to showing TPMS active message. I upgraded to a 2009 W164 and same story as the 2007.
My EIS is only able to support "WARNING"...I cannot have the "ACTUAL VALUES" - so better than nothing...
My car (203.040) was built 30/11/2004, the actual day the CGW was combined into the EIS.

1. The EIS in my car won’t be able to support theTPMS, or
2. I will only have a warning when a tire pressure is low and I won’t be able to see the air pressure in each tire?
