it is not a direct fit and requires modification to make work. Replacement of the rear frame inside the dash is required. As I stated, 01-02 cars may have issues programming mileage. My 03 works fine with a clk cluster. See link. http://web.mac.com/motorwerks/German...t_Cluster.html
can you tell me how hard it was to do, in terms of labor hours and such? does it require a pro bodyshop also? what was the parts list? just looking at your pictures have made me so sad, because i probably would never be able to have that

simple answer:
2001-2002: steve and sunil haven't figured out the less painful way to do them
2003-up: it's simple. just need to change the gauge mount and plugs etc.
coupes: only 2005-up can do this. why? 2002-2004 has the 3-eye gauge dashboard.

2005 C-230 Sport Sedan
i replaced the old style cluster in my 04 C230 with one from an 06 C230, had to send it out and have the mileage set to zero, only thing that doesn't work is the steering wheel radio controls. was unable to program it with das, would give communication errors.
