M271 New engine do i need new instrument cluster?
Hello , so i have c230 2003 coupe 177 miles with misfire cylinder 1
have been offered a c230 05 125 miles engine 800$
i have heard that the mileage is in the instrument cluster is that true? and so do i have to buy the instrument cluster of that car? and the cluster is different will there be a problem?

I'm not sure whether the mileage is stored in the cluster or somewhere else in the vehicle's computer system. However, the odometer must be accurate as to the car itself - not the engine. Changing the mileage on the car is ILLEGAL unless you go do a bunch of paperwork with DMV to report that the mileage on the odometer is not the vehicle's actual mileage.
And yes, the cluster will be different. It will fit physically, but will not be compatible with your car's computer system.

No you don't need to change the cluster. My 271 was recently flooded and I had to transplant the engine from a W204 C200. The shop just used star to program my old ecu to adapt to the higher displacement engine hence not requiring a replacement of the cluster nor the ECU.

Be careful with the higher mileage m271 engines. Timing chain stretch and cam sprocket wear problems. At least have them open the valve cover and inspect those items.

Fuel injector #2 Misfire
Hello everyone 2007 cal 550 Engine light on and shows misfire fue imjectir#2. We replace it and same issue. We change spark plugs and coil and same issue
we swap between other fuel injector/ coils/ spark plugs and misfire 2 always comes up
the car runs great for 20 seconds and then starts hesitating.
any subjection ?

Upgrade cluster!
Hello everybody! I have installed a 2006 cluster at my 2003 w203 but I haven’t activate the gps guide and auto pilot! Can someone help me? Also can I install a w209 cluster or a w211? They look nicer to me. Many thanks
