Anyone scotchguard their cloth seats?
Does the scotchguard change the feel/texture of the upholstry? Does it come off on your clothes when you sit, or does it evaporate?
I'm getting the Oyster cloth. How has that been holding up for people, dirt wise? I know it'll only be a few days after getting the car that I start eating in the car, no matter how much I swear I won't do it.
What kind of leather are you getting and from where?

Come to think of it, with the rain falling today, it's time to Scotchghaurd my floormats.....
you could get seat covers... either the above or the classic sheepskin
my only comment about the scotchguard was that it made my sofa very slippery - reduced the friction. i kept sliding down

Also, I'm getting the heated seats to keep our butts warm in the cold NY winters, so I think any kind of seat cover will reduce the heaters effectiveness.
I'll have to search some more to see if there is anything else I can treat the seats with. Ooooh, maybe some of those clear vinyl sofa protectors that old people use, or maybe bubble wrap and I'll get massaged by stress relieving air pockets each time I sit down ;-)
I used the ScothGuard carpet guard (in a blue can) on the mats and carpet.
I had a '96 Integra GSR with tan cloth interior that I scotch guarded several years ago and just prior to trading the vehicle in on a C230 some grease from a restuarant takeout package spilled on the front passenger bucket seat. I removed it with a little dish detergent and warm water with no stain whatsoever. Worked great. I removed chocolate some time back on this same vehicle too.
Keep in mind with ScotchGard you need to reapply every year or so.
