hi... new to benz and the forums =) simple Q's

got a 03 C320 Coupe.. great car.. been browsing the forums for a bit... trying to find ppl w/ similar cars and seeing what they have done to theirs..

few things i wanna know..
i have no prior knowledge in car modding so bear w/ me

i am in toronto, was wondering where i would find bi-xenons so i can 'retrofit' or whatever you call it, in my car ...

what are some of the things people usually do to a C320 to make it perform better and look sharper..

thanks !!!!

Bi Xenon retrofit is possible. You can try many stores to see if they have it ex autowerks but the one the majority of mbworlders use is Steve. His addy is s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com BiXenon is a must to give off a nicer exterior look. Another popular retrofit is comand. A few cheap mods also include springs, door sills and clear foglights. thanks for the prompt replies =)

what is retrofit exactly ? so i can literally take a OEM bi-xenon set of lights and pop it into my car ?

do you think i can bring my car back to MB to get it done.. i am scared when it gets to warrenty issues

as for door sills and clear foglights.. are foglights "cleared" already..

Retrofit just means removing the your current item and putting in the other-in other words 'plug and play'. Warranty is a no go. But you shouldnt have any issues. I retrofitted and I been good for a year+.

As for clear and 'foggy' fogs I will post one of the unclear and one of the clear.

THANKS ! =)

so basically as long as i can buy a set of Bi-Xenons, i can pull out the old ones and pop in my new ones ?

i don't need to go to a mechanic to tune stuff right ? kinda like pulling and popping in bulbs i suppose

thanks for the pics !!!

as for foggy and clear... we are talking about the small light on the bumper right... looks a LOT nicer in the 2nd pic !!!

you guys are great !!!! love this board..

btw. how did you get your headlight so clear ? it that the bi-xenon inside ?

sorry for annoying you guys w/ my stupid questions.. but how much am i expecting to pay for bi-xenons..

and is there a particular one i am looking for to that was made for my car ?

reason i ask is i noticed the other thread where a dealer won't activate bi-xenon for some guy

Yes the small foglight on the bumper...
Hehe the WHOLE casing is the bixenon headlight. Its not COMPLETLY simple. You need to like pull back the bumper and attach and detach some 'stuff'. You dont NEED to activate them to work, but its useful. I am sure you can find a dealer to do it for free or for a nominal fee

Lol dont worry I get asked more annoying questions on my pm's/emails, so ask away as much as you want.

Activiting is basically having your computer recognizing you have bixenon. So the setting is set to xenon present. Really simple. If you dont have it turned on you will need to turn on the lights first and then turn on the car-really not THAT annoying, but its better to not to do that. BiXenon for sedans run 1100. For the coupe UNFORTUNATELY I wouldnt know, you would have to email Steve

I also like the clear or euro corners....get rid of that orange light on the side of your bumper. Euro corners simply have no light at all and the clear ones are just that...white or clear and can be made to run orange with the right bulb.

RENNtech makes some great upgrades and www.performanceproducts.com has some nice stuff too, but I agree that Steve seems to be THE man to get stuff from.

Happy modding.

Hey guys, I am just doing some homework before I buy.
I am considering a C230K. As for this bixenon thing, do
you only have to do that when you are going to be using
the lights (like night time), or every time you start the
car? Also is it a problem installing (and making work) bixenons
on a '02 coupe?

thanks.
