C230K feels slow..
Well that's what my wife told me today.. Since we live little out of the city center i have to take the highway to work every morning which the speed limit is 100 Km... So this morning i was driving my wife to work doing about 110 - 115 kmh.. While i was driving she asked me why i was driving so slow.. I was like what do you mean??? I told her i was allready doing 115km.. She didn't believe me.. She asked me if the Speedo was working OK... She said the car felt slow...
I wonder how fast i have to drive to make her feel Not Slow in this car.. The car rides like a dream and you really can't tell your going 115 - 120km in this thing.. Maybe next time i'll hit 200Kmh.. Then she might ask me to slow down..

that happens to me far too much. I'll be driving along and i'll wonder why on earth is everyone going so slow. Then i'll glance down at the speedo and its says 100mph. Opps.

If I open the sunroof, I find I keep myself at a safer top speed of 80mph. Gets too loud above that. If I really want to slow down, open the side windows too. Then I won't go over 60MPH. I like to think of them as psychological "air brakes".

I drove up to 175km/h yesterday , and I still feel very safe, the car is very stable at that speed. You will start to feel you are driving a bit fast once you reaches 150km/h.

You can take her to the limit 130 mph. I have she is still rock solid. She was meant to go fast. Thats all I can say.
A side note, another thread:
I have a friend who swears by mustangs. I drove his, now the coupe is heavier yet the mustang feels like a brick when braking, and on the slalom.

Oh man, I wish I could take her home to Germany, where you can open up when conditions allow. I'd be doing 200 km/h and still feel like I'm going too slow as I'm constantly passed by Audis, Porsches, and BMWs (and other Mercedes).
My wife complains I go into turns too fast, but I can't help it. That car sticks to the road like velcro. Slot-car-like. I just need to avoid pot holes like the pest. The 17" tires bottom out too easily, causing a heart-wrenching "thump" each time. "Oh no, what did I break NOW?!" Never used to have a worry in the world when driving the old Jeep. Perfect car for NYC - even the cabbies stay the heck out of your way. But, alas - no fahrvergnuegen! Unless you're driving on the beaches of Chappaquid****.

I think that is typical of new cars in general.
I was a passenger in my friend's new V6 Camry for much of this week. I was very surprised to see us doing 85 mph, more than a few times. It just didn't feel like we were going that fast.

I got a nasty 58 in a 35mph ticket in my car. Never had a speeding ticket before. The car is just too smooth and quiet. I am definately more careful now!
