Tiny needle roller bearings found??
Hope someone can help.
I've recently bought a 2006 C320 V6 diesel.
Upon changing the oil, I've found very tiny needle roller bearings stuck in the filter cartridge.
Bought car with a few issues cheap.
Turbo had gone due to suspected low oil pressure. Removed pump and stripped to find more bearings chewed up inside.
Question is, does this engine have any tiny roller bearings in it??
Hope you can help.
Regards Michael

I called into Local Merc dealer yesterday to ask the question. Same reply my engine doesn't have these in it.
It's a CAT C car. Body etc is absolutely mint. They also agreed car has been tampered with, ie someone had put them in too damage it.
😊
Pure speculation, but the transmission pan has a small removable magnet stuck to it for the purpose of collecting metal shavings ditto for filter. That small removable magnet has ribs and what if these types of earth magnets were inside of them. What if someone were to put this small removable magnet in the engine oil pan,.... engine oil probably get higher heat,... which could melt the rubber-plastic outer part of that small removable magnet,... thus freeing these "very tiny needle roller bearings" shaped earth magnets,....
