This company has some interesting sisal mats. I saw their ad in an advertising supplement in a recent AutoWeek magazine.

Cocomats.com

For those with Java interiors, which do you like best (if any):

That looks very nice, Martha Stewart!

Should I be assuming that this is a late April Fool's joke, or just really bad taste? That will be my only comment.

Hard to tell from the pics, but the second one (larger) looks pretty good with the java. I wouldn't mind that one at all (sorry Tommy).

Sisal? Groovy, man! Does it come with a matching Member's Only jacket and a beaded seat cover?

They have several color options, among them a nice dark gray with blue dot pattern that might match the lighter blue in your new seats. Now, that could be a "good thing." But as you say, it's probably just "April Fool!"

Check them out, Andy Rooney!

Did you ever wonder ... ?

I'm sorry Bob, but I just think they're nasty. I'd need fine corinthian leather in my car to really make the interior work.

What it really reminds me of is if Gilligan had made it off the island and started his own customization shop. Now, if Ginger (there is no comparison, btw, between her and Mary Ann - pu-leez!) came with the mats, that would be a different thing.

tommy, at least your dealer won't threaten to void your warranty with these fine "Palm Fibre Cocomats" (I'm corrected they're not Sisal)... compared to your $150 experiment with those HIDs...

Just having fun. I'm not sure I'd get them, myself. Besides, they're even more expensive than the WeatherTechs. But maybe they won't wander all over my footwells like the rubber mats.

At least it's something new to write about on this otherwise B-O-R-I-N-G forum (lately)...

I think they'd look kind of cool in a classic M-B, but I don't think they be all that great for a new one.

Well Bob I've been kind of busy lately but if you'd like me too stir up some s*** I'm sure things will get more exciting.

PS gave up on the lithium.

BTW the #2 mat looks cool but I would never admit to it and I would never buy it for fear of public ridicule.

Excuse me, beating up on Bob for making aesthetic changes to his car -- isn't that the pot calling the kettle black or did I miss something, Mr. my car seats match my exterior color and my shift knob? :p
