Interior noise stats wanted
Hi All,
Well I'm totally new here and this is my first post. I'm looking at buying a C-Class sedan and am debating between the 230 Sport (2003 and newer) and the 240. I looked and looked but can't find a bit of info. I'm looking for the interior noise levels at different speeds. These stats show up on Road and Track or Car and Driver road tests on the stats page but I do not have any of these copies nor could I find it on their website. If anyone has these please post them as I am a little torn.
Thanks

2002 C230 Coupe(M111)
Any C-Class is pretty darn quiet inside.
Forget the C240- its slow, handles much too softly, and costs more than the faster, better handling and better looking C230.

Interior Noise
I too have had problems getting interior noise decibal ratings for cars. I found the c230 sport sedan to be louder inside than the BMW 325 (I have a new one) only over rough pavement. In Florida the roads are often made with bits of coral and shell that can make your tires really rumble. The tires on the c230k are FAT for a stock setup four door entry level sedan. Fat, low profile tires tend to be noisy anyway. My recommendation to you would be to drive different cars at the same speeds over the same patch of pavement. Separate road noise, engine noise and wind noise in your head so you will know what your daily driving experience will be.
