Options Not Available in 05

2005 Mercedes C240
Options Not Available in 05
Just picked up my new 2005 MB C240 with these options:
Brilliant Silver, Charcoal Leather, HK Stereo, 6 Disc CD Changer, Heated Seats, Automatic, 10 Way Driver Side Power Seat, Sunroof & Rear Sunshade.
Here are options I had in 01 and wanted in the 05. Not any more...
-Xenon Headlights
-Free Service A & B
-Driver and Passenger 10 way power adjusted seats with memory settings. Only the driver side has the 10 way power adjusted seat with memory setting. The passenger side has 6 way powered adjusted seats and no memory settings.
PROS:
-Improved Ride
-Improved Seats
-Improved cup holder. I had the cup holder replaced on my 01 three times.
-Updated dash. Love the blue LCD color rather than the orange.
-Updated rear taillights
-Updated instrument panel
-Updated Heat/Air controls
-Updated shift knob
-Updated Rims
-Updated Stereo w/single CD player
-Clear Headlight lenses
-Updated Fog Lights w/cornering option
-More aggressive front end
-C Spot $1500 Coupon
CONS:
-Xenon option gone
-No RTS option on the upgraded HK radio
-10 way power seats for both driver and passenger
-Placement of driver side power window controls. Same in 01, was hopping they would have moved to the center console
-Free service A & B intervals

-Updated instrument panel: with my new climatronic could care less
-Updated Heat/Air controls: noticed a difference, not enough for me to pay to buy the new dials
-Updated shift knob: like that alot
-Updated Rims: hmm, i like mine
-Updated Stereo w/single CD player: got my navi, but would way prefer DVD navi
-Clear Headlight lenses: have bi-xenons sotck with headlamp washers, dont care
-Updated Fog Lights w/cornering option: clear foglights, but no corninering,
-More aggressive front end: saw not enough to warrant buying a new front bumper
-C Spot $1500 Coupon: would have been nice

MB will need to change more to sway me away from my 03.
I love the bose on mine it is truly a great system when tuned right.
xenon like them but dont want to change my current.
New outside styling really dont see that much of a dif.
Free service is GREAT
When does the next gen. come out again?

W204 come out in 2006 as a 2007 model per mbspy.com.
im with you. not too much of a diff. for me to loose citron and buy a new coupe.

There are Xenons in the 2005, just changed to Bi-Xenons and it is in the Lighting Package. As for the power seat thing, I guess that was a cost cutting measure, since who really needs memory passenger seats. I use them all the time in mine, but they do not need memory. Sucks because if I want to pay for it then I would like to be able to have that option.
As for the coupe's, I do not even think you get the pasenger seat power any longer, the C230 Sedans as well. I believe the passenger seat being power is only on the C240 and C320 and of course the AMG model as well.

yea, the xenons are bi-xenons, i ordered them with myc ar and i have seen 2005's at dealerships with the xenons. The only thing i can think of is if the xenons were not offered on the c240, but i'm almost positive they still are for the 05's.

I have a related question. Can anyone confirm whether or not the cornering fog lights come as part of the Lighting Package on the 2005 C230K Coupe?
I heard that they are not available on the sport sedan and mbusa.com does not list them for the coupe (on the build your own feature). But my order confirmation from mbusa lists them as part of the package.
