thanks. i want to get heated seats installed, since i regret never getting them when i ordered the car. im seriously considering the heated/ventillated seats installed from the CLK.

I am in the process of installing those myself except from a E 211 class car since I have a sedan. I already got everything wired up and swiches installed with wire to the seats. Definitly doable if you can find the seats.

yeah i saw your set up when you posted pics of the parktronic. those switches for the heated/ventilated seats are cool. $$ will be a factor for this mod, but when theres a will, theres a way and one way or another im going to get this done!!

The fully optioned switch row with harness will run you about 250 dollars. The seats are going to be expensive. If you just replace the pads themselves with new leather covers and horsehair padding, it may be cheaper. I priced the drivers side seat pad. I am talking about the one that is foam. THe one with vented feature and multicontour feature was at 280 dollars. The foam does not come with the air bags eiuther.

the wire harness for the power seats includes the part for the steering wheel adjustment but retrofitting a power adjustable steering is out of the question. THere are too many small parts involved and gears, etc... I am sure cost would be a factor as well. 01 has steering wheel adjustment control on door, 02 onwards has it on the steering column.

yes the convienence settings are set thru the MFD for steering column only or steering column/seat, or off. seat adjustment thru the door controls and wheel adjustment thru the stalk on the wheel.
