Hey guys new on here and I have a question.
I own a 2005 c180 kompressor and my girlfriend complains about only having one cup holder in the front. I'm just wondering if there is a way I can take out the cup holder I have now (pictured below) to one of the double cup holders (also pictured below) Current cup holder
The trim would only change the shape viewed on top. The cup holder itself is actually connected to the entire assembly from where it is dividdd at the ashtray to the armrest storage compartment
To support this thread, your best bet as suggested is to find a wreck or a supplier with all the parts.
I think the only challenge will be finding wood grain that matches and is acceptable to you.
Swap it all out.
There is a trick to the face lifted cup holder, start by removing the lower most screw.
Then unclip and swap.
Where are you located?
USA has the big honking dual cup holder, your cubby looks ROW, or Rest Of World. Also, you list it as a C180. (Where is your slider cover for the cubby?)

I don’t think you’ll find one to swivel left...as these were designed and manufactured for MBUSA/NA...I do believe ROW (rest of world) had more, understated, beverage holders.
The very few times mine was used by a passenger I do not recall any ergonomic complaints.
Perhaps an aftermarket clip on or other attachment method on the map pocket of the door would be more accommodating?
For a full avant-garde or sport trim swap, I’d seek a full wreck, via eBay or yard/similar for everything bundled. I’ve been told, the door trims are “difficult” to remove perfectly, and I will attest that the silver foiling that makes those parts is thin and easily marred.

What does the USA cup holder look like? Here in Canadaland the driver indent and passenger holder can basically only hold a pop can. In fact they're both quite useless. Can't hold a Slurpee cup or a McDonald's coffee properly.
