yo i got my Chirp/beep to be so freaking loud i got a hold of a friend who has the DAS system and he change the sound of the Chirp/beep and also made it lounder it has like 5 different type of chirps/beep i think.. but the do a search its been posted alot of times

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
My wagon is a 2005, and was silent when I bought it. Then my siren stopped working. After it was replaced the car beeped once to open and three times for locking. It does not have the NL setting. Seems to be standard now when Star Diagnostics is connected and updated.

i want mine to beep as well. sometimes i think twice whether or not i locked my car or not. i always have to double check. if i heard the beep then i would know for sure if the car was locked the first time.

Awesome... Hey thanks a lot, I appreciate it... I'll be taking my car down to the dealership tomorrow to try and have them modify my settings...

HOW CAN I MAKE MY C230 ALARM "CHIRP" WHEN ARMED/DISARMED?
At the dealer, using the MB factory handheld laptop tester, go into the car's computer system.
Go into Programs
Locate the Rear SAM Program
Locate Body
Select Netherland
Now the car does a "chirp, chirp, chirp" when locking/arming and a single chirp when unlocking/disarming

mines used to sound just like that at first when the dealer change the settings then Steve did something and it started beeping faster and now it sound like the clip i put on youtube and when a door is open and u try to lock the car it makes a funny beep i will post a clip soon

Also, in the other threads on this it says that the panic button is disabled if you switch to Netherlands setting, but that someone like Steve from MBenzNL can make it so that you get both beeps and panic button.

I think that prior to the 2006 model year, Netherlands setting has to be activated and that setting is the one that does the slow drawn out beeps. For 2006 and onward, the cars have the setting turned on as default I believe, I know almost every 2006 or 2007 I have test driven has made the new quick beeping noise.
Also, in the other threads on this it says that the panic button is disabled if you switch to Netherlands setting, but that someone like Steve from MBenzNL can make it so that you get both beeps and panic button.
