my panic buttom didnt work when the dealer first change the settings and the beep sounded like advans but when steve installed my auto folding mirrors he change the settings for the panic buttom to work and when he did that the beep sound was different... then when my friend hook up his DAS computer and we was messing around with the setting he showed me the different beeps the car had and he made the sound louder i think the car has the option in beep by percent like 0% is just the flashing lights, the 10% quiet beep... he put mines on 100% which is the loudest. i hope this help i should of taken pictures of the computer screen to show u guys

If anyone is up this early --- I have an appointment in 2 1/2 hrs at my MB dealer to change my settings to netherlands settings. I have a feeling they'll try and charge me. I understand this is a 5min setting change, but they do have to hook it up to something. What is a fair price to pay them to set this?

I had the instructions for Netherlands settings printed out and was going to give it to the master tech but he said "you want it to beep right? that's all I need to know"
so apparently he already knew exactly how to do it... I love it.

I am jealous! My stupid advisor wanted to charge me 1 hour of labor to do a 5 minute job! I would have paid $60 for it but not $110.

I don't think $60 is even reasonable for a 5 minute job. I would try to get them to include this in an A or B service when the computer is supposed to be connected to diagonose the car anyway.
And if i decide to do this I will make sure that I don't pay, because I asked my salesman to have them set it when I bought the car, and he said it wasn't possible--now I know better!

just tell them this.

and they'll check your alarm, and possibly "fix" it by replacing it, and then they'll put the chirp on if you ask.
they replaced my alarm. but my alarm WAS going on and off. 3 in the morning!
