A little off topic, but is there an interior motion sensor available for my 208?

so it is necessary to have the IMS installed to get this panic/beep(chrip) to work?

thanks
I would say to them "Please enable [whatever you want enabled]". If you're dealership can't handle this, I'm really sorry but I don't know what else to tell you.

I can't give you the rest of the information because what we do and have may not be what they can do or have. The software varies by which hardware, which month of software you have, etc.

the first step is getting the engineering mode activated on their stardiagnose...and that is probably soemthing they can't do...this way of programming is only possible on stardiagnos with additional setting features (engineering mode).

IMS has nothing to do with the chirping/beeping...as long as a car (203) has the towing alarm - it can beep/chirp when (un)locking

greetingz,

Steve, how do we know if we have towing alarm or not? is it one of the button that show the towing car on the center interior?

Also, is it right that if we enable the netherland setting, we will have some problem in the future and is it hard to set back to original setting?

Do you happen to know what setting the W203 in Asia has? How hard would you rate (1-10) to do this change?

Thanks in advance

all US spec 203s have towing alarm...ROW cars differ...

the activation of the lock - unlock chirp can be done separately without setting to netherlands setting...you can even change the number of chirps and chirp when you (un)lock with the door open...as long as one has a modified stardiagnose - the chirp can be set without setting to NL setting.

greetingz,

Well, using the "all-mighty" STAR DAS, Dean & Steve were able to enable my alarm beeps without setting to NETHERLANDS. Very neat features include:
- faster frequency for locking 3-beep
- 1-beep unlock for each door
- continuous beep if you lock with door(s) open
- retain panic button alarm (ear piercing) w/ FLASHING lights

this was on a 2003 CL203 (C320 Sport Coupe).

Thanks guys !
MBenzNL rocks !

phattbam, just e-mail Steve@mbenznl.com or Scorchie and let them know what you want to do / buy, and all Star-DAS settings he just does them on the side for free. He just left California for Hawaii, and then probably won't be back until late summer. But e-mail and get on the list. That's the best you can do, unless your dealer can figure it out and do it for you, for free !

ok, i tried every possible combination with both doors,
and I can't get the alarm to go off just by waiting 15 seconds and opening the door before locking. Doesn't make sense, unless you program it to do that for some reason. If the car is unlocked, why would the alarm go off ?
What happens when I try to lock the car with any door open, is a continuous beep but NO alarm.

maybe I'm confused !?!

Lock/Unlock chirp noise?

I had a quick question.. I have an 06' C230sport and a buddy of mine has the same car only I noticed when he hits the lock/unlock button on his smartkey his car makes a chirp/beep along with the lights flashing where mine only has the lights flashing. I was wondering if it was a feature you turn on somehow or if his came equiped with a different alarm system or something? Thanks!
