Foggy Fog Lights '05 C230

Can anyone with the 05 230 check if their passenger side fog light is foggy? Mine seems like water is getting into the fog light. I need to confirm so I can bring it up to the dealer when I bring my car in for 1,000 miles check up. Thanks!!

If it's foggy, it's broken. What's confusing about that?

Don't forget, though, that it'll be a wear item, unless there's a defect, and not covered under the warranty. Might think about Xpel/Stongard kind of stuff next time; mine works great.

The lens is not cracked. It reminds me of the steam on the mirror after a hot shower. I'm sure the dealer will cover that under warranty.

the seal my not be sealed properly and water may be leaking in there. or the air may be humidified and condensation develops when the temp. changes.

Or it could be just cracked - hairline cracks are common with foglights, and it's enough to let it fog without retaining water.

I'm not arguing or saying anyone's wrong, but it is a possibility, and many dealers would not warranty it if possible - just be on guard when you bring it in.

yeah tommy is right, if it damaged from driving then it wont be replaced most likely. if it is defective it should be replaced. its up to the dealer.

I have hit a few things with my fog lights... even the one is disconnected in the back. No water at all and still sealed. If you hit something, YOU SHOULD KNOW... jeez. LOL
