Mercedes C230 2005 engine making a noise and shutting off when off the throttle
I have a Mercedes C230 2005 and today it started making a weird noise coming from the engine today. Moreover, whenever I am slowing down in traffic or at a stoplight and take my foot off the throttle for few seconds and powers off and I have to put it into park and turn it on again, most mechanics are closed right now due to Christmas holidays so it is not possible to immediately take it.
Issues it had recently that might or might not be related:
Rough idle (RPM unstable), same applies when the car is stopped anywhere or going slowly in traffic
Issues with one of the ignition coils
Any help would be appreciated.

Did it throw any codes? Check engine light on?
In my experience rough idles are typically a vacuum leak which in your car can be in a few different places assuming it's the m271 engine the one that would most difficult would be the PCV which you can do a search on the forum for $12 hose.

I checked the engine code and there was nothing related to it (check engine light was on because of some electrical stuff related to lightings and ESP), I cleared them and will try to drive it again so I can check it if it comes up. My main issue is the sound coming from the engine, I don't think that it is something minor like just a vacuum leak, I checked the latter and it was fine anyway. I am just afraid to drive it so I don't make things worse
