see how bright 4300k hid lights are, if you get 6000k or any higher you wont get the same output it'll just be more blue, i think your the same one who put out a poll about changing your fogs to a certain temp. i think you should get 4300k to match the OEMs xenons. that'll light up the road perfectly .. not that it isnt right now

the thing is i think the OEM light is not as bright as the HID i had before, im guessing becuz the light is pure white, with little yellow tint when you see it in the car. im 80% sure my 6000k HID was brighter tho =/

The pattern in the first pic is actually correct. The passenger side headlight lights up the side of the road while the driver's side headlight is lower to reduce glare for oncoming traffic. I personally hate the way it's supposed to be aimed so I adjusted both to a median level I can live with.

Do a search for previous posts regarding aiming bi-xenons and the results will show the pattern in the first pics is correct.

Also your 6000k's were most likely not brighter than your OEM xenons but rather it appeared that way. As the kelvin (color temperature) rises the lumens (brightness level) goes down.

haha! oh btw advans, the Bi-xenon high beam won't activate until evening or night time, if it's day time it will only lights up the flasher light i believe.

Bi-Xenon Malfunction, Please Help

ocasionally, my xenons will start flashing on and off, and these warnings will show up.
"Low Beam, Left, Check Light...Low Beam, Right, Check Light"
if this happens, i pull over, shut everything down, and turn everything back on and its fine.
This will happen about once a week.
Anyone know why it is doing this?

thanks

I just went through all this on Thursday. From what the tech pulled for my car the flashing lights is an indicator of a bad controler. Fortunately one of my bulbs exploded, which was causing this. It sounds like both of your bulbs are working at least part of the time. Can get pretty expensive especially if you replace the bulbs and it's not that.....

I only get this occasionally and usually when I turn the lights on manually (not auto lights). Dealer diagnosed it yesterday as requiring a new ballast but that can only be fitted with a new bulb - ballast covered by warranty but bulb isn't. He's arguing with MBUSA to get the bulb changed for free as his bulletin says only do the two together. I'll let you know how we get on...

Like, rlee02135, I also never use the "Auto" light mode.

You shouldn't use the "Auto" lights in the day time especially if you have the Xenon lights because this may turn the xenon lights on and off repetitively when driving under a bridge or in a slightly darker area.

Xenon lights are very sensitive to being turned on and off, even more so than flourescent bulbs. When you turn them on, keep them on until you don't plan to turn them on for a long time.

This will help prolong your xenon bulb and igniter ballast life.

I special ordered my car with the bi-x. As for price range for coupe bi-x (very difficult to find), why don't you just purchase them from Steve (MBenzNL)? Doesn't he have the coupe BI-X?

I emailed him and he said that he does not have any, nor he will get any since they are a rare find.

I see. Well, I guess your best bet after that would either be ebay or if someone on here sells their set, especially for the coupe (like Steve said, they're rare).
