Frank, I was talkin' 'bout it with Jose and you've got some mad painting skills, bro! I was tellin' him how there's no way I can't paint my own ish! Everytime I've DIY'd for painting in the past, something has gone wrong, whether it was dust, uneven coating, wrong clear coat, fading, etc...
i got used to painting my model cars. even tho i haven't done one in the long time, so I always take my time with these stuff. This time I actually rushed it...hahah

So what do you use to keep it from bubbling or fading due to engine heat?

You can buy paint that has a heat intensity of up to 500*F [engine enamel]. then its jsut a matter of cleaning, prepping, possibly sanding, the surface and masking off if need be.
I bought black low-gloss engine enamel in a spray can to black out my brake calipers [whenever I get around to doing it]. should be the same. it has a high tollerance for heat and you can usally find em in many different colors and finishes

the airbox itself doesn't really get to "that" hot...I've measured it with my laser temp gauge thing, so it's only the matter of prep, and paint and don't let it run/over spray. you want to do light coat by light coat instead of covering it with globs of paint.
