Official AMG C32 Exhaust on regular W203 Thread
#77
My guess is "no but anything is possible" because AMG exhaust is constructed differently than regular MB exhaust. You might need to modify quite a bit of stuff in order to make it work.

I've got one for sale!!
For those with a C32 AMG muffler on your W203's- Did you leave your stock resonator? I think the AMG resonator is a little different for improved flow and sound. Does anyone have a pic of the underside of there W203 so we can see the resonator or can anyone describe it? The AMG resonator is about 6" wide by 18" long or so, I haven't taken measurements. I have a muffler and resonator from a C32 with 12K miles. I bought it to go on my 300E but the "lobe" on top of the muffler is a bit too tall and instead of hacking the tips off and using those I'd rather sell the whole system. Asking $575 for muffler and resonator.

I read an article that said that if you want a louder engine sound, most of it comes from the intake, like 70 percent. So before you get rid of the AMG, find a way to modify your intake to allow more air into the engine. I dont know if KnN makes a filter for the car but usually thats one of the first mods people will do to add 2 or 3 extra horses plus the sound.

eisenmann...
I'm thinking about getting the supersprint resonator as well, It's pretty cheap and I think it would give more flow to my Eisenmann. My car w/ Eisenmann High Performance 2x83mm and K&N air filters sounds Vicious next to a stock C32. But then a C32 is Way Faster... Eisenmann definitely has the best sounding and performance wise , lightest, exhausts.

One word:
Brabus all the way baby. If you out there and havn't got anything yet the full Brabus thing won't let you down. It sounds deep and it looks cool

Can we title this thread something else? On a side note, you may have seen I have an AMG W203 muffler for sale :p . I still wouldn't mind telling people that my C320 has AMG exhaust, even if its not loud. To answer a question posted back in 11/03 of "If it flows better and is a better muffler, why wouldn't Mercedes put it on all of their C classes?"- The same reason all E320's, SL500's, S500's and so on don't have AMG exausts. I'm sure it flows a little better than factory, it has to, and most importantly, its unique. There's my plug.

AMG exhaust question
I just got the AMG exhaust and resonator in today. I wanted to know would I have to cut any of the bumper when installing it. I also wanted to add the Lorinser rear lip spoiler aftewards at a later date. Will it clear the muffler?

i put the AMG exhaust on my car... it's not too loud. when ur going fast 100+ u can tell the difference..but other than that, it's pretty normal.
it looks a bit goofy tho without a kit (i have the sport package) so i'm looking to buy either an add-on or a full replacement.
Anyone have any good prices for kits??? drop me an email at: thomasshin82@hotmail.com
