C230SS rims on a C240
Anyone done this? I really like the rims but I'm not sure how they'll look on a c240. Are c230's lower than 240's? I guess I'm mostly worried about the wheel gap. 17" rims on unlowered suspension doesn't look good on certain cars.
Thanks to all for their input.
Edit: I like how this car looks. Ride height looks perfect.

The C230SS is about an inch lower but you can either get lowering springs from Eibach or H&R for about $300-350 installed or buy used SS springs from someone on the forum and do them yourself. I think those wheels would look great on a C240. WBLynch has them on his wife's C240 station wagon and they look great but would look better lowered an inch.

I put a set on Wifey's 240 Wagon. They look great. Makes the wagon pop.
Perhaps the ride height on a wagon may not be as critical for looks as a sedan but there really isn't too much gap.

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I'm a bit worried though. 1" does not sound like a lot, but when you're talking about suspension, it can make a dramatic difference in looks.
wblynch, do you have any pics of your wagon with the rims? Just curious to see for myslef if the gap looks that much greater than a c230.
Are the rotors and calipers on a c240 smaller than the 230. Will my calipers and rotors look rediculously small underneath those rims?
Thanks again for the insight!

I don't have any pictures but if the rain lets up for a couple of days I'll shoot one and get it posted.
The brakes don't look especially silly to me.

You can get the C32/AMG calipers for about $600 with the drilled rotors and new pads. Don't know if it stops better but certainly looks better and dusts less than the C240 pads.
