position of the start engine button
I think this is security changing replacinn buton here,
if you look at CLK, E, S etc. you can see it is replaced on the gear. But I was thinking -and now it seems MB thought that !- this could cause stop the engine while you drive yes it seem maybe little change but it could be !
Start/ Stop's new place is good for me but Who needs/cares Start/Stop engine buton ! Enough key ?
to me .. gear with start/stop button is more elegant .. MB should be more creative

Those without it still have it in the traditional location. S-Classes with KG still have it in the traditional location, same with the GL.
Aaaaanyway...we'll find out soon.

I know Mercedes can be crazy at times, but when they start to introduce something, they move it down the lines. So W221 was first, then the GL, now the C will get that type of Keyless Go system. Mercedes has been smart unlike other manufactuers and offered the redundancy that uses the traditional key. My dad's Cadillac STS has their verison of Keyless Go and it will not work at Port Authority's parking lot in NYC. There is some kind of wierd interference that prevents certain wireless signals. It takes him many times before the car eventually recognizes it and starts. I am happy to see that MB continues to offer the backup key function. Also we will not see soon, since Keyless Go is NOT an option for the C-Class in the 2008 MY.
