Any opinions on the price? Should I get more off because of the miles?

I hate to say it but I for one do not like cars that have been driven as demo/test car. 1000 miles is a lot of miles on a car. The break in period according to MB is 1000 miles on this car. You have no idea how bad the car have been driven during the 1000 miles. $1200 is a lot but I got mine at $750 off MSRP with 5 miles on it and little bit of negotiation. For $500 more, I would not settle for 995 additional miles.

2008 C350 Black with Black MB Tex
I got a $2,350 discount off of MSRP (see figures below). Ordered it on 8/29/07. Took delivery on 9/27/07. I did not trade in a car. Paid cash for it. Loving it!

Black with Black MB Tex. I wasn't sure about the MB Tex before it arrived. I was afraid I would regret it since I have always had cars with leather. But I really like the MB Tex interior now and glad I saved the $1,550 on leather). I'm also glad I stuck with the standard moonroof instead of getting the Panorama roof, plus I saved $1,000 by not buying that option. I like the sliding shade that comes with the standard moonroof. When I saw a Panorama roof at the dealer after I got my car, I did not like the roller shade that comes with the Panorama roof).

C350 $36,500
iPod Integration Kit $375
Premium II Package $1,350
Multimedia Package $2,950
Destination and Delivery $775
Total Retail Price $41,950
DISCOUNT -$2,350
Total Cash Sales Price $39,600
Dealer Processing Fee $249
Dealer's Business License Tax $79.70
Title Tax (5%) $1,985
Registration New Tags Transfer State $239
Total Cash Delivered Price $42,152.70

That's a great deal...have you purchased from that dealer before?

Congrats on the new car.

Is this a fair deal?
C300 sport 4Matic
with P2 and MM
MSRP = $40,915
Dealer's offer = $39,100

I'm thinking something more in the range of $38,500 or $38,800. Will the dealer go for it?
Should I just take the $39,100 and run?

Not bad. Wish we could be paying those kind of prices here in Canada.

Ha ha I'll second this one. That car is most likely the demo car and I know for a fact those cars are flogged around. With the break in period being 1k miles and as it states in the owners manual not to go over 65 mph...well I'm sure you get the idea. Also...MB demo cars are always screwy, the ones I have seen come in at my dealership are always missing parts of options packages, like they hadn't decided yet what to include in the packages at the time of build, and you are most likely getting a real early build that could result in problems down the road. It is under warranty though, you can always get it fixed, but why take a chance if you know from the start its not going to be good. They should really just send the demo cars back to MB and not sell them.

It is up to you, but I think that I woud have a hard time buying a new car with a 1,000 miles on it unless the discount was substantial. I had an opportunity for one before I ordered and I actually ended up with a better deal on a new one. The only drawback, and it is a big one, is that I have had to wait.

I think that sounds like a good deal. It's already over $1800 off sticker and you have to consider that 4Matic just recently came out and that car you want has P2, which isn't as common on the C300. If it was a regular base C300 with only P2 and no MM Package, that's a different story. But I think for those options, that is a very good deal. Maybe ask for $39K even.

At $39K, best we can do is buy a B200 Turbo.

Unhappy I guess...I paid too much on this car...

So I live in California, and my dealer said that because they're new and are very popular(I have the C350), so they put like 4k more on top of the sticker price.
So I got it for $4,3650 out the door.
I didin't order it, I just went in and drove away one of the cars they already have in stock.
Is it how they take advantage over you in California or it's just me stupid?

Hi everyone -

I got a firm quote for C300 4Matic white/black:
P2+Multimedia+Ipod
MSRP $41290
Dealer price $38,620 and free All Season mats

So I did pretty good without even bargaining, thats $2670 below MSRP

But have to order it and wait till end of December or mid January

Damn....thats the same exact car my Fiance ordered for $39K. I just could not get my dealer to go below $39K. I knew $38,800 was what I was looking for. Oh well....I wasn't too far off I guess.
Good deal!

yes exact same spec! its white/black, I typed it wrong before, I was aiming for $700 over invoice, without even asking, he said best he can do is $38,620 and he'll throw in the all season mats, thats like $200 over invoice!?

I just hope now they won't sell mine to other higher bidder...
