Quick question taking out the sidemarkers..... When I took out the fender lip and I look at the stock sidemarker, it is mounted by a screw. Is that screw a 5 star screw?? cuz I can't really see it. I tried it w/ my phillip screw drive and it doesn't grasp on to the screw at all.
Hope that helps.

Hi folks! New member, 0 posts until now...
I have an '08 C63 (scored this baby about a month ago with only 17K kms!!!) and I JUST swapped out my sidemarkers for lightly smoked ones.
Verdict?? EASY as pie!!! As shown, just pop out a couple or all 3 of the plug/anchors on both sides of the wheel well so you have access from the outside to re-fit the inside housing back onto the sidemarker (actually, not necessary from the passenger side but go for it). I bought my lenses on eBay and they fit perfect.
If you need any additional assistance please do not hesitate to ask me! It was a very easy process and only took about 5-7 mins per side.

I went through the hood, didn't remove anything. Since my hands wouldnt reach the marker light location I used a 12" metal ruler to depress the tab to remove the stock lenses. I then used the same ruler to hold the stock bracket firmly in place from behind while I popped in the new lens from the front. Took me about 10-mins as well.

Sorry to hijack but I searched and couldn't find any posts about the LED side markers that fishcake has. Has anyone installed these? He has a picture of a E class but I think we would put this more vertically vs horizontally from the E. If anyone has any pictures please let me know! Wondering if it is worth it to splurge...also I have stock headlamps/eyelids...probably won't go for leds since I find mine fine and even a vast improvement from my previous car. Would the leds look weird with halogens?
Also he has different listings for models 08-09 and 10, do the shapes differ from these years? TIA for any answers someone may give

Someone wrote a thread on the LED side markers. Not to my personal liking:

BUMP!
Just wanting to do this on my C350 and while I do follow vaguely about how to do it, can anyone quickly write up a step by step instruction for this? Please keep in mind I am a complete noob when it comes to DIY stuff, so would really appreciate details, even the one's you think would be obvious. I am going with the clear one's on ebay for my white C350. I see one for around $70 with the chromed out bulbs, that seems to be my only choice?
Thanks guys.

Installed clear side markers on my C63. They look great, but the fit leaves a little to be desired. The OEMs fit flush against the bumper. The ones I bought from Fishcake on eBay do not fit as well. I have 1/16th inch gaps all around. I took them off and reinstalled with no closer fit. Open to suggestions on how to make them fit better.

Clear Side Markers
I just installed mine today. Pretty easy to do. I went thru the wheel well. Seems mine had a screw (see photos) in the frame so I couldn't go thru the hood. Took longer to get the screw out than replacing the side markers! Mine came with chrome bulbs. My C300 Sport is a 2009 model.

- Inside wheelwell showing black housing w/torx screw half out
- Torx screw. Use small screwdriver. Even this one was too big!
- New marker with black housing taken out.
- New one installed.
- All done

So I ordered the clear side markers from eBay but they didn't come with the chrome bulbs. Anyone know where I can buy just the bulbs from??
