Glad it worked out for both of you.

Have you replaced the rear dome festoon with LED as well? What did you use?

haven't replaced the rear dome yet. hopefully, it'll won't put up a fight to get opened=]

there should be plenty of festoon-type LEDs on Ebay. but with so many diff types, it's hard to pick one. i'm just gonna head to Chinatown or Alhambra-area and pick one up..

The rear dome is also easy to remove just like got_thang's OP picture.

Do let me know if the one you get is as white as the warm white LEDs - 4300K .

Can anyone provide any insight on which LED lights to use. I am aware that the size is 194 or 168, but its hard to pick the right ones. I would like to change all of the interior lights to LED. Thanks!

Here is the site...

click on the product link and check the V-LEDS Part ID, if it starts with 194 you're good.

however, you should stick with the design/shape that's of the typical 194 bulbs - i.e., don't pick an led that's too big or has like 198528 leds on them.

Do you have any pics or info on the bulbs that you are using? I wanna change them all out to LED, but I don't wanna waste money on bulbs that won't fit. I too am looking for that bright look. Thanks!

Why did you remove the entire front overhead console? You could have just removed the lens like @got_thang did by prying around white part only. Seems overly complicated and risky since you're pulling out the sunroof control, wiring, and light switches.

I did both sides without any problems... maybe I was being careful... or just lucky.

Yeah, you were really lucky not to break it, quite a few already broke theirs by prying from the side.

Sliding the credit card easily separated the front dome from its latch. Try it and you will know what I mean.

Rear dome light cover removal

Thanks for posting that DIY, I couldnt figure out how to remove that rear dome light cover. Do you know where I can find a blue bulb for the rear dome light? I bought some off of E-bay but they look different. They fit in the front dome light, but by the looks of the rear light, it looks kinda like a fuse?? Didnt get one that looks like that. Thanks for your post.

I ordered M28 Festoon Bulbs for my w204 and they are too small... They aren't long enough, I need them to be another 1/2" longer. Does anyone have any idea what the Polarg bulb is for the rear seat dome light?
