Cognac Interior (Photoshop Image)
Attached is a basic black and then a comparison of cognac and black.
I'm also starting to lean towards an all leather interior for a more upscale and inviting look like the higher end models.
NOTE: This is just a thought for now and nothing more. I'm sure once I am quoted a price, that will put any notions out of my head.

I looked at the UK and Canadian websites to see if cognac was a color option and nothing available. If our car is available with cognac somewhere in the world from the factory I am all ears?

One thing I would change is to have the lower dash black instead of cognac, and have a different kind of wood trim. Either piano black lacquer or the beautiful espresso stained bamboo trim that BMW offers.

When a dealer buys cars to stock, on speculation, he has to carry some of the cost of that car. If it does not appeal, for whatever reason, then there's more carrying charges until someone decides to buy it.
In Tacoma, there's still a new 2008 listed on the "new inventory." Probably has options no one has wanted.
It's "always" been this way: dealers buy basic, and somewhat better stock and those who want "all the options" have to special order them.
Now, why would a company with inventory up the ying-yang sitting at docks around the country even consider a special option build? Never a good idea, especially if the buyer decides to back out.
What we do see here is product that the dealer can install as dealer-options. In days long ago, even the Air Conditioner was a dealer-installed option. As cars have gotten more and more 'complete', there's less that can easily or profitably be installed at the dealer.
