Take a look at this poor 2211...
He parked his car by high speed train station in Taipei and took a 1 day trip to the southern part of Taiwan..
When he came back the next day..this is all that's left of his w211..
The place he parked the car is in a pretty busy road right across from a 24 hrs 7-11..
From what he told me, thieves like these, they are not after the parts for re-sale in the black market..
They empty the car out intentionally so it will be a pain in the **** for the owner to repair and they will try to contact the owner and offer to sell all the parts back at about $10k or $15k..
I am so glad we rarely see thieves like this here in the States..
Yet he got calls from some repair shop telling him they can get the parts back and fix the car for $12,000...
BTW, can mods please fix the title to w211? I made the typo on the title...

Exactly my thoughts, they may not have done the work but probably know who did. Someone is selling it to them and they know the parts are stolen.

it's always someone that you know... they really f'ed it up tho... damn.
