C350 - Whirring Noise
Hello,
I have a 2008 C350. I have an issue when the car is parked and has not been driven for at least 5 hours. Every 3 - 5 minutes, there is a whirring sound coming from the front drivers side of the car. The sound itself lasts for about 2 - 3 seconds. I have taken it to my dealership but they claim they do not hear anything. They even told me that it is a normal sound after the car is driven and is cooling off. But the thing is that the sound continues way after the car has been cooled. It sounds like an tiny electric motor winding.
Anyone heard this sound before? I'm not
. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting, how long have you had your car and is it running fine dispite the noise? I am a little upset that the dealership that I bought the car from acted like I was new to owning a car when I first reported the issue.

Next time try to have someone with a video camera to help you pinpoint the sound as best as you can, and then show the video clip to your service adviser. Hope that can help them troubleshoot easier.

funny my buddy had the same problem and he has yet to go to the dealer yet, but i guess ur not the only one

Yep I heard that noise 3 times so far since i had my car(more than a month). it sounds like it's coming out of driver side front speaker to me. i didn't take it to the dealership since it doesn't do it all the time. i thought it had to do with front window motor then i thought it was just me. but i guess it's normal for all C350 owners.

Heard that sound today on my 3004M - It had been parked for about 2hrs and the noise sounded like weazing. Was happening every 7-10 seconds.
Sound came from the front of the car.
