Service Specials & Coupons Thread!
I'm stopping by for them to add the front bracket for the front license plate, NYS by law front & rear plates needed, car is from TX which only needed rear plate. I will ask & get back to anyone as far as what they will honor.
I love you Cali guys & girls with these absolutely great coupon prices, nothing close as far as internet search of local dealerships in the NYC area. As stated above Silver Star is the best price I see so far, I'm just lucky it's by my apt. But for $99 I'm about to take a drive down to Cali, I'm going back to Cali, to Cali, to Cali...lol

A Service: $99

$39.95 - 6 cyl
$44.95 - 8 cyl
$49.95 - 12 cyl
Brakes: $199.88
Replacement of Genuine Mercedes-Benz front or rear disc brake pads.
but still got ding with $350 for transmission service. Oh well you can not win all
.
Are there other stuff I should also have the dealer change or service??
I am thinking maybe cabinet air filter..not sure what else..
As long as your local mech uses the spec of oil MB wants and the OEM filter, there should be no issues.
From my experience, a local indy using the oem stuff only saves like 20 bucks
my dealership wants to charge $499 for service B and the local mechanic is charging $30 for oil change and fluid level checks. I think I can save a bit more than $20
Can't you just open your wallet and take your beating quietly?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Service B at a dealership is more than opening your wallet, you have to bend over and grab your ankles too...
ha, hell no. i refuse to conform!

They did a great job, and they use the Synthetic Mobile 1. A few shops I called use Valvoline (Eurosport in Plano)... That price included everything on Service B including brake fluid flush. Get your oil filter from AutoZone beforehand and take it with you, I picked up a K&N oil filter (part# HP-7004, $25.00), but there are much cheaper options available.
The dealership that quoted me $499 was Park Place Mercedes (by Love Field Airport). They also added that 499 was the base price.... Ewing Quoted me $450 I think. A place in Frisco said $819, hahaha....

Smythe in San Jose refuses.
I brought my 2008 GL450 in for service A. It has less than 13,000 miles because I bought it in jan 2009.
The service advisor "recommends" tire balancing and rotation $110.00, Brake fluid flush $110, wheel alignment check $170, bringing the total bill to $630 (including $240 for Service A)
I declined everything except Service A, but he insists that the brake fluid flush is a "requirement" every 2 years , and my car "requires" it becasue the brake fluid has been sitting there in my car for 2 years, even though i have been driving the car for only 1 year.
Any thoughts and comments please?

Anyone save any of those PDFs or coupons? I have a B service coming up and the best deal I found so far now is the Monterey one for $299. Would love to get my hands on something cheaper if I can, even with a socal coupon. Thanks guys.
Service A:
Huntington - Starts at $275 (probably will charge more)
Massapequa - $275 flat
Rallye - $200 special for 2 weeks.
