Well, since you asked for opinions, I'd have to say 'skip it'. I subscribe to the 'No engine, no badge' school of thought. People who know what AMG is will scoff at you for having the badge and not the stuff underneath.
my $.02 .
Sounds like your other mods will look nice, though.

The car in the picture is my friend's C280 in Taiwan..
I think for lots of other countries, AMG package is not standard but an extra option..
For him, the cost is about $4k USD..I guess that's why MB Taiwan put the AMG emblem to make the buyers feel better... :p

Didn't a guy in the Philippines buy the AMG body Kit with the Hood front bumper rear diffuser and exhaust that came with the AMG badge. That said having second thoughts about the AMG badge thing saw 2 M5's this week but they weren't M5's and a e55 on a e200 and was thinking WTF look at these clowns then I remembered that AMG Badge issue with my car any way will be searching for Badge Removal post now. Being called a poser online is nothing , having laughed at others for years for putting Evolution on plain Lancers or M3 on a 318s, or in this case M5 on some 520 bmws, kind of makes me think maybe there is something to this poser thing.

Do you really want to end up like this...?
It's a pack that costs $5700 over here but you don't see me sticking it full of AMG logos?

Yes-Do it
Yes, you paid for the extras that classify as AMG parts, and car looks different than other styles, and are marketed as such.
1-Side scirts
2-Front bumper
3-Rear bumper
4-Paddle Shifters, diff steering wheel
5-Lowered suspention, staggered wheels
MERC should change the badge however to say ////AMGp or something else that make sence...C3.5 ///AMGp

Hmmm..in this example
Is AMG badge == M3 badge ?
I thought C63 badge== M3 badge and AMG badge is simply == M-technik badge

If it has an Affalterbach engine, stick any badge on it that you like. But there is only one W204 AMG and that's the C63!
Does it state C280 AMG on your bill or insurance form? Nope, it states Mercedes-Benz C280 with no mention of AMG!

Secondly, when the AMG badge actually stands for another car, adding an AMG badge on a car that does not come with it simply makes you a fake. Even if you keep the C280 badge on, it is still a bad bluff that anyone who knows something about Mercs can call.
Also, if you must consider who paid for what parts, then to be fair, people who paid the extras to get a real AMG car that comes with an original AMG badge Actually deserve to have the badge on.
aesthetically, i personally like a clean rear end. I'm thinking of even deleting my model number, so no, adding another badge is not for me. even tho i must say the AMG badge itself looks pretty nice.
Just my 2 cents =] great modlist though
