C300 vs C350, Why'd You Buy What You Bought?
I'm just curious as to why you chose what you got. I see a lot of c300s on here, but with additional features that would take them into the price range of a c350 without the features. Any reason?

don't get me wrong, fully loaded C350 > fully loaded C300 obviously :p
But you could get a fully loaded C300 for in or around $35-36k. You'd have to get a no option C350 negotiated down under invoice to get to that price. I'm also talking apples to apples so same model year same markoff if you can get on a c350 you can get on a c300.

only reason i got the 300 is because 4-matic wasn't available in the 350...
what a shame - i can only imagine how well balanced the 350 4M is

^^ exactly, we're talking OEM options, not aftermarket I believe. For me that cost would have been a wash anyways since I would have tossed on pretty much the exact same aftermarket mods on a C350 and a C300 so costs scale equally.

i got the C350 because:
A fully loaded C300 and a fully loaded C350 (and this does not include the larger brakes, rear spoiler and the engine) comes out to be about $1,xxx more than a C300 loaded. Of course, when you look at the base price you see a huge difference because the C350 already includes P1. so there you have it, its less than 2 thousand to upgrade

2010 E350 SP / Honda Crosstour / prior vehicles - C32 modded / C300 modded / Lincoln LS modded
compare
Lease money factor is way better on a c300 than a c350. Mercedes is pushing the 300. So in reality your paying much more for the c350 on your monthly payment if you leased.

I got mine because ...
- I was in the market for a newer car, had been for about a year
- This car was thoroughly tested for several years before release
- It's an MB
- It fits in the spot I have reserved for it in my garage (very important)
- It had a reasonable price tag
- It looks (sport model) very good
- The color I wanted was available
Because of the color, and it being the only one around at the time, I got the features already on the car (P2, MM). I do not regret that at all.
I didn't need a 350, so stuck with a 300. There's plenty of power, and if you really want to go fast, remove the governor in the ECU and you can peg the speedo (but where, where to do that on our roads?). Hrumph, it's fine as it is.
I didn't need a 63 (wasn't released yet, didn't want to wait) because, well, I don't NEED that!
After 18 months and 26K miles, it's a choice I am happy with every time I drive it. And I still look for that first door ding ... folks are very nice where I park
I do worry about the look becoming dated over time. Some cars (W123) seem to be fine, forever. This one might just look dated in 8-12 years. I do plan on keeping it that long, or longer, depending on how it holds up post warranty.

C300 Sport
I loved the look and feel of the C300. Dealer had one ('08) with the only two options I wanted (auto trans and iPod integration) in the color I wanted at invoice. Got OTD with trade in ('04 Honda Element with 40k) for $20,000 tax, license and dealer prep included...couldn't resist...

well down here the c350 attacts 180% duty no joke but because of a loop hole and the c300 being flex fuel capable it attracts like 63% duty but since it's a beurocratic night mare to jump through the hoops to get that rate and only a few know how to manuver the system after paying their fees and markup it works out to like 100% duty.
