hello iam new and c350 questions
Hi guys,
Iam new here. Iam located in SF Bay Area (castro valley) and Iam thinking buying a Mercedes c350.
When is model 2010 coming?
how to add some power to engine (for less than $1000, chips , k&n) ?
where to get the best $deal?
where to get best service?
how to make gears smoother?
what should i know about the c350 (weakness and strong points)

Stay away from MB Pleasanton. MB Oakland and Walnut Creek are hit or miss. MB San Jose is one of the better ones.
For any modification, take it to Sonic Motorsports in Mountain View. Tell them you want power and they can hook you up.
2009 orders should have already been cut off, all new orders should be 2010. Give it a bit for them to start filtering in to the lots.
Service, you should try out All Mercedes in Oakland if you want to steer away from dealerships. Otherwise, Walnut Creek and Beshoff San Jose dealerships are my suggestion.

Not too many mods for that motor yet. There are ECU tunes, but I have been advised to stay away for now. apparently, they have issues with time. If anything, i would try EVOSport's underdrive pulleys that are good for about 20hp max.

At any dealership that you have a connection. It is an easy car to service and minimal is needed.

Upgrading to newest valve bodies and flashes is it. the Tranny is pretty smooth with the 7 gears. Anything in particular you were worried about?

My sales rep (Beshoff Motorcars in San Jose) just told me they are offering 6k off MSRP this month for C350s they have on their lot..
I would also stay away from Fletcher Jones of Fremont, and Smythe in San Jose also is hit or miss..

Beshoff is one of the best in bay area. I got mine in Walnut Creek.
As for what to use your money on, depends on if you're looking for performance or aesthetics and what your budget is. That's a pretty open ended question.

hill climb assist can be a bit annoying.. when you let go the brake.. the car hold the brake for extra sec... so if you put gas right away or left foot braking, right foot gas.. the car tend to drag its rear brake... you will notice even more on 'C' mode, since the car start at 2nd gear..
solution?? put the gear on C1.. and let the car roll back a little and gas.. or is there any way to turn off hill assist?

Took a picture before, then installed a rig on the car, took pic of the car rolling, lighting gear all around, then cloned out the rig with the before pic. I have some more rolling shots from different angle and from the rear, but they won't be ready for a while unfortunately as this photoshoot was free through a friend and he's got paying customers he needs to take care of first :p 7 friggin hour shoot 9am-4am.
