I am happy with your results

And to people like tanktube67: I have organised this to do good for other forum members. If you are unhappy with the results I suggest you resell them to other members who want them. (Enough of them around, see my previous reply.)

Of course its always a risk, but out of the surely thousands of online purchases I have done over the years, not many of them have failed, and in the majority of the purchases the sales description of the item has been correct, wich in this case, it wasnt.

If I can find time this week I will try to measure the output voltage to the bulbs, at first directly after turning them on, and then again when they have turned blue to see if I can find any anomalies in the voltage.
Problem is that the voltage to the bulb is cut when the load dissapears, may have to measure the voltage under load only.

I still think these LEDs look good. I suppose they might change a MINOR shade of blue over time. However, I stress that the color change is extremely subtle and really not noticeable. For the most part, they look steelish grey.

I've been burned by this LED obsession before like everyone else (not AZN's fault) and couldn't stand the blue LED look. But I'm happy with these sets of LEDs. I think the color looks fine.

Mine change to an obvious blue but for now I'm keeping them until something else that is tried and tested comes around. From what I gather the amount that the LEDs change colour varies fro car to car - so ctgilles may actually have a setup in the car that doesn't change the LED colour much.

Thanks for the effort though ctgilles.

just a simple conjecture .. but if all this is due to the irregularity of the voltage, maybe running the AC and/or stereo is one of the factors that's causing a spike in the voltage..?

Ok so today i received my LED set. I went on ahead and installed them ( 9 pm at night) I stayed in the driveway about 10 minutes and there was absolutely no color change (4300k color)! If it stays like this the whole day tomorrow then i guess this leds do not turn blue on everyone. I will get back tomorrow and tell you guys what happened as i am too tired today to stay outside waiting for some LEDs to change color.

You can change to D1s Bulbs but the color will not be blue like aftermarket HID kits. Not even with 8000k bulbs you will get a blue color. With 6000k you will get a pure white color with a hint of blue. Its really bright at night and you can see a whole lot better.

we should start a thread listing the testing condition...
like...was engine running or not, was a/c on or off, was stereo on or off, was headlight on or off, was fog light on or off...what's the ambient temperature outside...etc..etc..
maybe we can then figure out what's the cause for the color change...

If anyone has something like a controllable current source and a (electrical) blanket or hairdryer then you can hook it up to 12V, test high/low voltages and see what happens if it heats up.

Is anyone selling to AZN_C300? If not I will be hooking him up but with all the "complainers" I told him to try them first. Then they won't have LEDs that make them unhappy.

Hi soldier,

Did you get a Philips (brand) D1S or just a generic one? I doubt that a Philips is worth the premium $ compared to a no-name product. Am I correct or do you think they last double or give a lot more light?

Installed Mine today - turn blue fairly quickly.

Conditions:
25 degrees Celsius outside. / AC on / logic7 audio / JL 250/1 amp in the trunk.

During the day they looked pretty white - at least when I first installed them but at night they look blue.

I'm not sure if I like it or not - to be honest I already forgot what the factory bulbs looked like. I'll drive around for a few days before making final judgment.

NVM color is light blue but less blue than AZNs LEDs.

To CTGilles: I have 6000k D1S phillips and yes they are very bright. I got them on ebay for about $130.

I know some of you have made threats to get a refund and one of you already is trying. I just want to voice my opinion that doing so is total BS. Even though it wasn't my GB, I've held one before and we're going out on a limb to help the forum community. We're not turning profit and trust me, there's a lot of work that goes into keeping track of orders, repackaging, and mailing back out. If you do charge backs, the GB organizer is the one eating the charge, NOT the manufacturer. When you buy from these forum community group buys, you're taking a risk as we're just forum car enthusiasts like you, not a business. CTGilles is already trying to get warranty replacements and fighting for you, but to stick him with credit disputes with BS claims like "your card used without your authorization" is stupid and a flat lie. I know who the person is and don't want to make your name public, but seriously, your actions are really selfish. I know you can all argue that he claimed these LEDs are white with no color change, but until anything has been confirmed by more than one source on more than one test vehicle, you should obviously take that claim with a grain of salt. Heck, do you also believe those ads that claim they can make you "bigger" down there or lose 100lbs in 5 days? Claims need to be verified obviously and what works for one, might not for another. This is a process that we've all been going through together, trying to find the best solution to something that obviously bothers all of us. If you don't want to be a part of the process, then don't participate and wait till a solution has been found and verified. There's always a risk in being among the first and if you don't want to assume that risk, sit out.

Screwing the organizer will end up hurting the community in the long run as no one will want to host something like this anymore and bring products or deals to you.

I got my bulbs from @ctgilles last week and installed them into the eyelids. Of the three sets of bulbs I have tested (including the warm white and pure whites from AZN's GB), these are closest to white. Had them running for 30 minutes and they did not turn blue like the Blesk bulbs. Will keep an eye on them for the next couple of weeks to see if there is an deterioration.

For those looking for a refund... this is a GB, not a store... @ctgilles and @Azn_C300 are both doing this as a favor to other forum members. Please don't take advantage of the situation. If you don't like them, feel free to sell your used bulbs to someone who does.

I think that when they are brandnew, they stay white for longer. I dunno why, but when I first got the LEDs and installed them on my car I drove around for say... 20mins and they were still white. But now, after around 2-3 weeks with them they turn blue much quicker. It might be me though, to think that the brandnew ones last longer since compared with the prior 4300k leds these do stay more "white". I dunno
