How do I remove the governor from my c300 ?

mercedes benz c 300
How do I remove the governor from my c300 ?
I was just wondering if anyone can help me with telling me how to remove it and will it increase my speed or effect my car in anyway ? and also will i be able to do this on my own or should i take it to a shop ? thanks

...it is the South Carolina governor then he'll be removed pretty soon...

You need a STAR DAS with developers access to do that. Not recommended.

Most ECU tunes will remove your governor. If you're in socal, one of the shops I work with has an SDS and can take care of it for you.

I don't think it will make any difference if u have it removed,,,your car won't reach the 250 km/h limit anyway !

Why? It only governs the top speed and your tires are not likely rated for over that speed, anyway.

The governor has no effect on rate of acceleration if that is what you are after.
