Would new 2010 mirrors improve the look of a 08' Arctic White? (See Pic comparison)
Was at the dealership getting an estimate for my trunk and tail damage and saw a 2010 arctic white with the new lights installed that I snapped a picture of for comparison to my 2008 arctic white to see if I liked the new look or not and it was worth the upgrade...
I took a picture of my car with the old mirrors the same day from the same angle and lined the two up next two each other to be able to get a great comparision...
after my evaluation, i am not sure I like the smaller mirrors in their new design as much as I though I would when compared to what I have right now... not sure if it is worth it or if my mirrors could even retain the auto folding for that matter...
Want to find out what you guys think and what you would do if you had the option... check out the comparison pic and let me know what u think!

If the new mirrors were guaranteed to cut down on some of the windnoise when on the highway, i might be in...
anybody know if the wind noise on the highway is improved with the new mirrors? I would assume so cus they are smaller, but any concrete tests out there?

ya i kind a do to just cus i think it makes the car look a little more recent since all the new benzs are getting those mirrors... but then again, i cant tell if it makes it look better in actuality outside just makin it look more "updated"

I'll try it out tomorrow since I have the 2010 model. Haven't been on the highway yet (only 3 days old)

Some guy on here has them. I think he said he paid around $1500 for them...not sure what it cost to install them. But don't tell him that you don't like his new mirrors b/c he gets butthurt very easily lol
IMHO the new mirrors aren't worth $1500. They do look smaller but I don't think they make THAT much of a difference. I'd rather put that $1500 toward new rims before I spent that on new mirrors.

id do it for 800-900 probably, to get rid of a little highway windnoise and improve efficiency... and look more updated... u know if the new mirrors can retain folding capability?

Mirrors, yes or no

The cost for the new style mirrors from Amsterdam was $1400 and since they are Euros, they retain folding on my 2008. Whether anyone doesn't like them does not bother me one way or another. I would say that most of the naysayers are so maxed out financially that they can't come up with the cash, anyway. And, yes, they were way too expensive. I do not hear any wind noise from them but the problem is that to test that, they have to be folded when stopped since they can't be folded when on the move.
The comment about "butthurt" (is that a middle school expression?) came from somebody with another white one when I said (or should have said) that white is also the color of sheep, if you take my meaning.
If you can remove the doorpanels, you can install them yourself. Three torx bolts and two plugs. The later cars without folding can be converted but the cabling and switch panel must be purchased which means more expense.
So now I have two '08 mirrors in Barolo Red which will just sit there forever.

when we put our 2010 arctic white order in, we saw their inventory of 09s right next to 10s. The mirror differences really were not a big deal. I would pay maybe max $100 to upgrade them, that's what I think of them. The biggest thing was the new base rims in my opinion, but you don't need to worry about that.

So far, no one has said anything about seeing less in the newer mirrors.
You know in the C300, you've got a couple of blind spots. I'd prefer the larger mirrows just for better viewing.

Yea that must be it. People don't like them because they can't afford them. You are such a tool
