potential first time c300 sport owner - questions

But before I do that I have some questions about the car that I was hoping you guys could help me with.
First of all, like the title says, im looking to buy a used 2008 C300 sport (under 20k miles preferably). I also live in southern california (if that matters).
1) what kind of price range should I be considering? Ive seen what many of these cost and I wanted to see what you guys thought was a fair price (with and without p1 and p2)
2) is the multimedia package a must have? most of the ones ive seen do not have it. many have the p1 or p2 package.
3) how is the reliability? big factor for me. i want to make sure the car runs well as id like to keep it for at least 6 or 7 years. i know it hasnt been around long but for those current owners, how has it ran for you?
4) similar to #3, what are the approximate costs of maintenance per year for this car?
5) any recommendations for dealers to goto and avoid in southern california?
6) any other little things i should consider about this car? how do current c300 owners rate the car? any input is welcomed.
just really trying to get a good idea about if this car is right for me since it is a big purchase and my first (hopefully) mbz. i have driven other mbz to compare it to (eg c280) and test drove the c300 today and it felt really comfortable and i enjoyed the ride.
thanks for all the help/answers/suggestions.
2. I don't have the multimedia package and I never wish I did. The basic system is good..it still comes with a nice bright LCD screen, and I have a portable nav for the few times a month I need it. I'm a college student though so I'm not really traveling much. If I were a businessman prone to travel I may think differently.
3. So far so good..
4. Service A was just over $200...no other costs so far.
5. Can't help you there..but there's tons of socal people here that will.
6. Depends what you want. If you wasn't a small sporty sedan that looks better and is a better overall package than anything else in it's class I think you've found your match.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I just built a C300 on mbusa.com with auto, mm, p2, ipod for $42,315..so they're basically taking $4k off. I think thats a pretty good deal. Keep in mind the 2010s are out so you have more negotiating room. You could easily get it for $38k even.
4) Mercedes likes you to do a service almost every year. So it's about $200 for service A and $300 for service B.
6) Good for first time Benz Buyers.
