Thought I wanted to Swap Grills but not sure now
I have always liked the luxury style MB grill and decided to give it a try on my Sport model. I picked up a luxury grill and hood ornament on Ebay and installed this morning.
I have to say I am suprisingly underwhelmed with the look....I have never been the biggest fan of the giant sport grill star but can better appreciate the look much more now....just wish the star was a little bit smaller....
I already took the upright star off as that is a no go with either grill but I am debating leaving the luxury grill on for a few days to see if it grows on me.
Has anyone that has done the sport for luxury swap have the same experience and did it take a few days to warm up to the completly different look, if ever??

I took advantage of the warm weather and detailed/waxed today after the grill swap. Drove around a bit and stopped by to see a few friends. The style still wasn't growing on me and I didn't get much positive response from a few people I asked.
Anyhow, I switched back to the sport gril with one improvement. When my grill was installed at the factory, they apparently tightened the T-Bar support to have the grill as forward as possible. I reinstalled with the grill sitting about 1/2 inch further rearward and it actually matches up a bit better.
The sport grill will do for now but I will keep my eyes open for a nice SL style grill.

The problem with the Lux grill is that it only looks GREAT in some angles and horrible in others. Painting it to colors like black or body color does help somewhat but leaving the chrome on does not match the overall front bumper design.
